What's going on...

I enjoyed sleeping in until 8am this morning and am now enjoying my coffee... I am working Grad portfolio review day today. It should be good... yesterday was a good warm up for it...

I talked an awful lot about my own work yesterday - it will be nice to talk about other peoples work for a while.

I have to think of a sign for tomorrow's show...

Yesterday James gave me some good ideas on how I can approach making my work sell-able.

I may have to invest in a new camera. It turns out that mine has a spot on it that wonky. I wish I had money... (okay, I do have some money... but more...). I wish someone would just give me a new camera. Maybe I'll have a bake sale to raise money for a new camera.

Okay, I've got to get a move on...

Go Dawgs...

Okay, it's been a long day and I'm tired... the open studio went really well. I got some good response to my work... now I just have to figure out how to market it and display it...

I got home and guess what's on the television? The Huskies are playing USC. It's nice to see my hometown on television live as opposed to the Grey's Anatomy variety...

I should go to bed soon. I have to work National Portfolio Day tomorrow... and I get free food.

Yum Yum...

Photos

I took these photos tonight as I was heading home from the studio. The sky was crazy... just like me...

TGIF

Well another week is coming to a close. It was odd not getting up early to go to the show this morning.

This weekend is the Art Under the Bridge event and I am working at National Portfolio Day on Sunday. That should be fun and intense. It's going to be interesting looking at other peoples work once again... not to mention I get at least breakfast and dinner out of it... You know how I like free food.

Speaking of food... it's another week until my weigh in and I'm not sure how I feel about it... I haven't been doing a good job watching what goes into my mouth... even though I'm a ww employee I think I'll actually pay the 13 bucks it's going to cost me to be over my goal weight... that's assuming I don't turn this train around soon. Maybe it will snap me back into a normal way of eating... but I guess nothing I'm doing these days is normal...

I suppose I better start working on the I heart Ann post for today... it's going to be different since I wasn't there... but It will be back to normal on Monday.

Stuff and things part 26

I find that living the life of an artist is catching up with me. I could use a vacation. Maybe I can get married on the Today show and be sent somewhere...

Last night I ended up going to bed before 9:30... I was tired. Tonight is the premiere of the Office... the whole cast wasn't at the Today show today but Ed Helms was (Andy)... I'll update I heart Ann later with all the details...

I'm off to the studio now to drop off things and see James... he flew in from Tuscon.. boy are his arms tired!

Good news, bad news...

the bad news is that I've woken up with a killer headache. The good news is that my favorite show starts tomorrow (okay, one of my favorite shows...)

The Office begins it's season. I am going to be making a special sign for my trip to the Today show tomorrow and wear my Office t-shirt. I think last season I posted about how much I like it. Now if I can just stay up for it.

Back to the headache. It one of those that is stuck in the back of your head behind the ears. My neck is a bit stiff as well. I took four ibuprofen so hopefully it should go away. It woke me up a few times during the night.

Well, since I got up early maybe I'll try to get an early start and a better place at the Today show.

Make sure to stop by I heart Ann later for all the details of todays show, Jennifer Garner is stopping by as well as the woman who starts in the Bionic Woman!

Wait wait wait...

I'm waiting for UPS to deliver a package for Maria... I'd like to be outside though.

It's nice today - I'm very excited about getting out while I can. Yesterday I went to the gym at the recreation center. Nothing fancy but it suits my needs. I just wish I had a few more workout clothes to wear... or my own washing machine.

I'm going to wait until 2ish and then it's outside for me.

I got an email back from Macy's today thanking me for my comments about the customer service and that someone would be getting in touch with me soon. (maybe this means free merchandise!!! - okay, probably not, but you never know)

Okay, I'm losing patience... look at I heart Ann to see the worlds ugliest pair of shoes!

Later.

Where did the day go?

It's already 1:15 and I don't know what happened to the start of my day. I guess it all has to do with not hearing my alarm this morning. It sucks to only have a half an hour to get ready. Not that I need much more than that, but when you are someone who needs their morning cup (or three) of coffee it can be hard.

These are some of the photos I took in Central Park on Friday.

Tonight my studio mates and I are having a meeting about the open studio thing this weekend. I just need space for my "stalker" wall. I'm mainly going for the happy hour at the bar we're meeting at.

I better go and make my sign for I heart Ann tomorrow.

Whatever happened to customer service?

I went out and about today... I decided to go to Macy's and Herald Square... I thought that maybe a bit of retail therapy would do me good.

I did manage to find a few things for myself (all on sale of course)... but what I found most was a lack of customer service. I must have wandered around Macy's for at least 90 minutes and not once did anyone offer to help me. If I asked someone for help they would oblige but nobody came out and asked me if I needed anything. When I did buy something they asked me to go online and fill out a survey about the service of the person ringing up the sale... I'm not sure what I will say when I fill them out.

Maybe I'm just used to the Nordstrom style service - Just to be acknowledged is nice. There was an exception during my trip, Old Navy had some friendly and helpful employees. But I'm afraid to say that Sephora lacked good service as well, I was in there at least a half an hour with no offer of help.

If I ruled the world I would require good customer service from everyone and I'd be rich!

On the bright side of going out, I did try on some clothes that other people had left in the fitting rooms and I fit into a dress size 4 petite.... It makes me almost regret eating that whole Cadbury bar yesterday...

It's all about Martha (yet again).

Look, there I am in the bottom left of my television screen - next to Lucy

Here's Martha talking about transplanting perenials.

Brad Garret decided to share his cinnamon stick with the cameraman.

He donned onion goggles..

That girl in the upper right actually works for Martha. Someone had to use the restroom so she was a seat filler.

This is what the lamb tangeen (did I spell that right?) looked like.

You can see a third of my face on the right side, second row up...

This is a reproduction of the magazine Justin gave me as I left...

Look it's me again... I was wearing a bright colored top but it was cold so I had to wear my coat.

This is Alisa, she is friends with Lucy who sat next to me. They didn't get to sit together because they both asked questions to Dr. Brent. Her top is really nice.

This is a closeup of Lucy... I think she was lamenting the fact that Dr. Brent said that she shouldn't drink alcohol before bed... she was very nice.

Martha and Dr. Brent talk about the new wellness center at Mt. Sinai Medical Center..

The end.

Celebrity sightings not associated with Ann...

Today as I was walking to the studio I saw John Bruce. He's a designer for While You Were Out - yet another reality based program.

I thought about jumping on him but instead I just gave him a goofy ass grin. He's a good looking fella.

I'm happy to report that my mood had improved from yesterday... I was just feeling sorry for myself.. I just need to not listen to the voices in my head. They get annoying sometimes. I can't complain, I'm doing what I want to do ("stalking" Ann Curry, making art, walking my thighs away) in a place where I never thought I would be.

Things are good and I can't complain.

The 28th - 30th of September there is going to be Art Under the Bridge here in Dumbo. I got the program for it today... my name is spelled JenniferL in the program as opposed to Jennifer L. Do you think people will actually think my name is JenniferL? I suppose it could be a "professional" artist name...

here's the flyer for it. If you're in the neighborhood stop by. The address is 111 Front Street, Gallery 208.

I guess that's it for now... more later.

That's Ms. Cranky Pants to you!

My mood has turned today... I don't really want to work, I don't want to go out... I can't blame it on PMS... maybe I should just take a nap.

Maybe it's the post Martha letdown. She was on the Today show this morning. Almost as stoic as yesterday...

I've put the Go Go's on iTunes... maybe that will help. Maybe I'll gather enough energy to get out and about.... I did manage to go swimming... it was fine - except I have some excess back skin that is not always attractive... but I can live with it.

I should update I heart Ann before it's too late.

Martha, Martha, Martha!

I think I'll just do a photo montage for you with a few anecdotal remarks..

I stood in line...

This is what I wore...

They let us into the waiting area

I used the restroom...

They gave us cookies (Yes, I washed my hands and I counted the points...)

I had my ticket...

I waited....

Then I was escorted into the studio..

This was my seat... (excuse the grin... I was having a cookie high...)

This is Martha's set

And this is Martha...

This is Justin.. he works for Martha...

He handed me my copy of Body and Soul as I left...

I also received a silicone brush from Joey - the audience wrangler...

The show will air THIS FRIDAY THE 21ST!

Brad Garrett is on the show - I don't want to ruin anything for you so I won't go into details now.

Look for me in the second row center, I sat next to Lucy who asks the first question in the stress and food segment...
