The countdown to Superbowl Sunday!

Well, my new Seahawks t-shirt is laundered and I am ready to wear it every day this week if necessary. I've got too much to do to say more than that, but I will update later.

Today I was a bum and I didn't go to church... but I did use my new coffee press and it was great! I love coffee! I also did laundry and bought hair coloring! I sure do have roots!

The schedule came out for our noontime lectures at school. Mine is going to be on February 23rd. That doesn't give me much time to prepare, but that is alright. Just get it over with I guess.

Giving lectures doesn't really scare me too much, if people don't like my stuff it's just too damn bad.

Okay, I am going to go now, my back is a bit sore so I am going to go sit with the heating pad some more... it sucks getting old.

Meet Pepe!

This is my soon to be niece/nephew whom I am currently calling Pepe. I like how his fists are all balled up like he's going to punch someone.

This morning I went to weight watchers and I was down a little over a pound. That's good, I will try to keep on track!
I have to grocery shopping sometime this weekend. I should also buy stamps and send out more resumes... a girls work is never done.

Today when I arrived home I found in my apartment my brand spankin new Seattle Seahawks t-shirt. (in case you were wondering why it was in my apartment as opposed to my mailbox is that my landlady Shirley puts things that are too big to fit in our mailboxes into our apartments. That's one of the reasons I like her so much!)

Yee haw! I am so excited. I am going to have to wash it first before I wear it out, but I may have to wear it every day of the week leading up to the Superbowl!

Tonight I am going over to my friends house to play scrabble and watch television... it should be fun. I'm not going to stay out too late because I have reading to do this weekend and I have to work in my studio. Not to mention that I have a weight watchers meeting first thing in the morning tomorrow.

Classes, Classes, Classes.

Today is the first day of class. I am taking a class on collecting - I had to confess that I used to collect crisp money... that's the money that has never been folded, virginal you could say. At one point I had over $200.00 of it, but then I got into grad school and I had to start spending. Oh well, I better get back to printing out cover letters.

The Job Search Begins...

I have spent most of this afternoon going through listings of Attorneys offices and copying contact information for possible employment. I figure I could probably make more money "whoring" myself out to "the man" than I could with any work study position. Who knows... I might find my future husband in a hi rise office building!

Well, I better get back to it. Classes start tomorrow, so I need to get a good nights sleep.

I heart wifi!

I am sitting here in my local library using the oh so fabulous wifi! I wish I wasn't poor and could afford faster internet in my apartment! I also wish I had skinny thighs, but I don't think that will be happening anytime soon. Oh, another good thing about high speed internet connections is that I can listen to my favorite radio station in Seattle (KMTT the mountain). They are playing their whole music library from a to z. Right now they are playing Supertramp.... not something that I would normally listen to but that's alright, I can handle it.

Well, I guess that's it for now, I think I'm going to order something off of Amazon.com with my christmas money!

I'm still in my pajamas.

But that's alright because I am working on finding a job in them. I have decided to send out my resume to some law firms to see if I can get some part time work this semester. I think that way I won't lounge around in my pajamas too much. I have things to do today so I better get my butt in gear.

Thank God the Seahawks won! I am so happy I could almost pee! I'm going to have to organize some sort of Superbowl shindig. I never realized I was such a hometown sports fan, but I guess I am! That's it for now.

Let me see.... Today I went to my Weight Watchers meeting at 7am and I was up a pound (yikes!). Then I went to Intelligentsia and had an americano (yum yum). Then I came back to the apartment, made breakfast and some soup for dinner. Next I took a bunch of things to my studio, some picture frames, fish bowls, tracing paper... Karolina called so I met up with her when I was done and we went grocery shopping and I watched her do laundry. I also got to watch some cable tv (my favorite).

I hate dial up internet.....

Good Afternoon! I am sitting here in my apartment watching the Maury show. He's revealing weather or not men are the baby's father or not. It is very riveting television. Okay, so I am taking photos of my artwork to send to one of my former professors. Here are a few images from my studio, one are soda bottles that I have altered and stuck on my wall, the other one are my bikini cupcake women. Everything is pretty much recycled crap. I love crap!

I have to get off my butt at some point. I'm eventually going to have to get back into the swing of things - I'm working on it but I've been in vacation mode too long. I'm gearing up to look for a job so I can get out and meet more people in this crazy town (and earn some money so I'm not poor!).

I took some photos at the Tacoma Museum of Glass last Saturday, I think I might post some here soon, but I have to get them off my camera.

My mommy has a job interview today, I hope it goes well! It will be good for her to get out some more.

Well, I better get my butt into the shower (with time left to watch Martha on TV!)

Here I sit on my futon in Chicago, my flight was ahead of schedule and there was an empty seat next to me! The Seahawks won yesterday and the Bears lost today, in a way I'm glad because I don't think I could have handled rooting for the Hawks in front of a bunch of Bear fans.

Tomorrow I'm heading to the studio to check some things out. I ate Moose Munch for dinner (toffee popcorn with almonds and cashews). It's 10:01 and I am still on Seattle time so I will probably be up for another hour or so... well I guess that's it for now.

Things are crazy...
I'm trying to get things organized so I can go back to chicago on Sunday. My dog Tucker knows that something is up. I've got boxes around the house and she's fussing because she doesn't want her momma to leave. I don't really want to go back myself, but I have to. Oh well, that's life.

I have a cold and I'm starting to get depressed about going back to Chicago. I want it to be warm there... and I want to have more friends, and a job and a date....

I have to figure out how to make titles on my blog...

I went to see Brokeback Mountain today. It was pretty good. It makes me want to have a gay boyfriend : ). Okay not reallly, but it would be nice to have someone to hold onto once in a while. Maybe I'll get lucky once I go back to Chicago and get back into the swing of things with school.

I have to go lay down with my dogs now.. only one more week and I won't see them until this summer sometime. Boo hoo!

Happy New Year!

Okay so it's the 2nd and I'm a bit tardy wishing you all a happy new year, but I've been busy. Working at a few wedding receptions and then today watching the Biggest Loser marathon on Bravo... that's one thing I miss in Chicago, cable television... I suppose I could order it, but then I would have to get a job to pay for it.

That is one of my goals this year, get to my goal weight at Weight Watchers and start working for them. It would keep me on track and give me some income. It sucks being poor.

My other goal this year is to have sex. that would make it two years in a row. woo hoo!
