I think I slept funny. My shoulder is funky.
I'm beginning to feel a bit queezy... I know everything will be fine when it comes to the show but it's still anxiety provoking. I haven't heard from my friend who is supposed to help me install and I'm a bit worried. I could do it myself if need be, but I'd rather have help.
On a less queezy note my dad is doing well. I went to visit him yesterday afternoon. He looked tired but in pretty good shape. He should be going home today if everything works out as planned.
Back to me! I still have to pack everything tonight... It will get done because it always does... I just can't wait for it to be over. Maybe I'll lose some weight because of all the nerves...

Another Monday is here...
I'm up ready to go (almost)... yesterday I went swimming. It reminded me of when I was a kid and used to swim all the time... It's exercise that isn't a chore... (except putting on the bathing suit - but nobody cares what I look like..).
I talked to my father twice this weekend and he seems to be doing pretty well. He's still in the hospital though...
Well, I better get off to "stalking" I might meet Barry Manilow this morning.

Keeping up
I am finding it hard to keep up with all my blogs and lead a fulfilling life.
The other day Maria gave me a nice pair of Teva's that were too big for her. I thought that was great, but what she forgot to mention was that they would give me big-ass blisters on the back of my heels. I"d take pictures but I wouldn't want to gross you out.
Let's just say that I can't wear anything but flip flops until the blisters go down.
I talked to my dad on the phone today and he sounds pretty good. They're not even sure it was a seizure... I guess they're probably going to discharge him on Sunday.
When your whole world revolves around Ann Curry and the Today Show it's hard to be witty. Sorry.

Almost normal...
I am... I suppose.
First an update on my dad... he didn't have a stroke. It was some sort of seizure. That's all I know - but he is doing better.
That's a relief... I can almost relax now.
I finally got around to doing laundry today -
I'm sick... Big Brother sucks this season... Can we not let either of them win? I won't reveal who they are because I am on the East Coast...
I went to Trader Joe's on the way home from the studio today.. the line was crazy... but they did have the horseradish hummus that I like so much (and you can't find in Seattle).. so I didn't mind too much.
Now if I was more social I could go out.. but I'm not so I am watching television. Surprise, surprise!
This is the corn I ate for lunch yesterday... it was good.

Laundry is going to have to wait.
I ended up coming back home and taking a two hour nap. I'm not going to get around to doing my laundry tonight... there's always tomorrow (and I still have clean underwear).
I have heard from my sisters that my dad is doing much better so I think I will have no trouble sleeping tonight.
He should be in the hospital a few more days and then back to the infirmary where he lives.
I'll keep you updated. I think I'm going to go back to bed again and catch up on some zzz's

Update...
I don't know much more about my dad... I've heard that he's a bit better today. The speech isn't as bad as it was and He's gone for a walk with the physical therapist.
I don't want to get too worried because then I'll lose focus.
I think I may break down and do laundry tonight.. I'm going to try and catch up on some sleep as well before my crazy lifestyle catches up with me.
I'm beginning to get a bit woozy now.. I might just call it a night now...

Distance.
It can be hard to be so far away from things.
I received a call from my sister today. She was on her way to the hospital to see my dad. He appears to have had a stroke. I know it may seem weird to talk about it on my blog - but it is my best friend in a way....
Getting back to the distance thing... there would be nothing I could do if I were in Seattle except wait and stew and think... at least here in New York I have many things to keep me occupied. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how it goes.
We met tonight with Donald Sultan, he's an alumnus of SAIC... I told him about my Ann project - he wasn't too impressed... but his friends were. I had a good time anyways... Well, I'll keep you all updated.
Until tomorrow.
