day 7

It still bugs me (the teeth/jaw)... we're at day 7. No wonder I've been cranky and eating up a storm... I probably shouldn't eat because it probably aggravates the problem - but I'm just trying to make myself feel better.

It's Friday and I'm ready for the weekend. It's too bad I don't have too much free time for it. I sit part of the day tomorrow (good reviews of the show in the Stranger and PI) and then Sunday morning I'm going to have breakfast and walk around Greenlake with my lovely assistant Kristen.

Last night I wandered around the grocery store forever... I was very indecisive. I was looking for "comfort" food... well first I was going to go to Fred Meyer and get a rotisserie chicken - but they were all out - IT WAS BEFORE 7 PM!!! It's on sale, but still... when you want rotisserie chicken you want it now. So, I left Fred Meyer and went to QFC where they had Lean Cuisine on sale. I thought it was going to be cheaper than it actually was. After I wandered around for a while - (I looked at their undersized and overpriced chicken) I left with just the Lean Cuisine... Then I was on the way back to the house I'm housesitting - I managed to talk myself out of pulling into Wallgreens and buying pistachios and chocolate - but I did stop into another QFC. I have a complaint about QFC - too expensive and they don't carry "white trash" style chip dip. I just wanted some cheap-o generic style ranch dip for my reduced fat potato chip dinner but did they have it? No. I ended up buying some Hidden Valley mix and fat free sour cream so it wasn't as unhealthy as it could have been... but still. The good news is that I didn't eat all of it. I guess that's good news.

My life is hell. (or something that resembles it...)

I don't understand why some people purposefully spell words wrong. Like kool or kewl instead of cool. I can't think of any others right at this moment - but it is just a big turn off. If I misspell words it's because I don't know how to spell them - I don't intentionally do it. I think it's dumb.

Yesterday I was supposed to have lunch with my lovely assistant Kristen but there was a problem with technology and it didn't work. That's too bad. I haven't seen her in a long time... I feel like I've been out of the loop for a while because of the show in Chicago.

I just saw a promo for the season premier of the Office. It always makes me laugh and I'm looking forward to seeing it... Ummmmm I'm feeling as though the blog has lost its edge... not that it really ever had an edge but you know....

In the old days I would have commented on the incident last week that put a damper on an already stressful weekend in Chicago - but I'm not into confrontation - this isn't even worth mentioning.

What else - I had a bit of a miscommunication with another friend of mine... it will be worked out - soon I hope.

Work is going well - I realized yesterday that it's been a while since I walked out to leave at the end of the day and made the gesture of blowing my brains out. I think that's a good sign.

Times a wasting... I have to get ready to greet the new day with open arms and a wide smile.

Let me tell you, it gets harder and harder to come up with titles for posts every day.

I am such a bad stalker... I didn't even know that Ann Curry was in town last weekend to interview the Dali Lama. I think I should have my stalking license revoked. I guess that just proves the point that I wasn't really a stalker - just an admirer from up close.

On a sad note, Ann's Father passed away over the weekend.

Okay, let's get off the bad news and onto the good.

First off, my lovely assistant Kristen and I got manicures and pedicures last night after work. I chose to go the natural route and just have my nails buffed. My toenails look a bit funny but that's just because I have the Hamilton family feet (and toenails). I'll slap some polish on them soon and take a photo for you. My fingernails are beautiful though, short, filed and buffed.

What else can I tell you all??? Less than a week until my birthday - start shopping now. You know I like shoes, manicures, pedicures, massages and beer. I am the perfect woman I think...

At work the new receptionist has been out sick the past two days.... hopefully she will be back today because I am falling behind on my filing... and you know how I love filing.

So... let's all think good vibes for the weather to change... for those of you not in Seattle it has been unusually cold this spring. I might as well have stayed in Chicago if I wanted this sort of weather.

I'm feeling the bridge mix this morning... and the results of not going to the gym. Once again I am running along side the wagon (I have fallen off - but I'm not out of the race)...

Have I told you all about the singles websites that I sign up for but never answer any messages I get? Yeah, I've got a problem...

Today will be different! It's Kristen's birthday and we're going to lunch!

I've got nothing to rant about this morning.... I better just quit while I'm ahead (or is it behind?)....

Almost sick...

I've got this funny feeling in my throat. Not quite a tickle, not quite a frog....
I wish I would just either get sick or get better.

Today I am finally going to remedy my haircut dilemma. No more channeling David Cassidy for me!

I was thinking that this week was going to be a bit slower but I don't think it will be. I have lunch plans every day except tomorrow - Thursday is my lovely assistant Kristen's birthday! We are going to go to lunch... Friday is a going away lunch for the receptionist at our office. I'm all for free food.

I like housesitting but it is inconvenient in getting to the gym. I suppose I could go after work but who has the energy? I sure don't.

Where has the time gone? I have to get moving or I'm going to be late.

New Year's Eve redeaux.

Well, I did watch the ball drop. (Dick Clark doesn't look so good...)

My lovely assistant Kristen and I went to Red Robin for dinner. A good thing about being old is that you can sit in the bar and not get carded... I had some very yummy buffalo clucks and fries. I ate every last one of them plus some extra fries.

After dinner we went to see Carlie Wilson's War. It was pretty good - but I did start dozing off in the middle of it. I managed to get the gist of the movie though.

I made it back by 10:15 or so and then fell asleep on the sofa. I did wake up at 11:59 and was able to switch to ABC and see the big ball.

I slept in this morning until 7:20 - that's pretty good.

Today I am planning on going to the gym along with five million other people and then I'm going to try not to eat crap. Maybe I should go see another movie.

I'm sitting here on the sofa watching the Today show and drinking my coffee... Kenneth Babyface Edmonds is going to be on the show - He was there earlier in the year while I was there. He's cute. and he can sing.

Well, I guess I should start surfing the internet or something. I have to find a job in order to pay my bills...

Fedex is watching me...

I checked into my stats counter and someone who works at Fedex checked out my blog. Now don't get me wrong, I have never had any major problems with Fedex before - it's just that twice in one day having things be f'd up is just not right.

I will probably use them again but when they lose a box of yours and don't even tell you? That sucks.

The family get together was nice yesterday. I got pictures of my cousin Tracy's feet. They are beautiful in their own deformed way... I'm not going to post a picture of them, you'll just have to wait until I have a show.

Tonight I am supposed to go out with my lovely assistant Kristen. I haven't seen her since I got back from New York. We are most likely going to see a movie and have dinner. I've been into movies lately - Juno still is my favorite....
