Body Hurt, Me Tired!

too many lunges last night.... my body needs a massage I think... that would be nice. It's been a while since I've had one. The person I used to go see at the salon was canned... they have a guy doing them now... I'm not a prude but it's just not the same.

Today I don't have anything in the hopper. I am going to be entering the Peep photo contest so I think that's what I'll be doing during lunch.... dressing up peeps.

These are the flowers I got for my 1st anniversary at the firm last week...

It's such a big arrangement - I must be someones "favorite" (I think I'm going to hurl here....)

Long story...

This is just a random shot I took the other day...

I guess I should go.... I did my body test this morning and I'm up .4 pounds. If I could just stay home and play on my wii I think I would be happy... but alas, I have to go to work.

Monday, March 23, 2009

My name is Jennifer and I'm a Wii addict.

Did I mention that I found a Wii Fit on Saturday and I've become obsessed? It's worried about me because I've lost 2.5 pounds since Saturday night. What it doesn't realize is that this last time that I did a body test I had an empty bladder and stomach and the first time I weighed in I had a belly full of spaghetti.

I'm going to have to figure out how to balance the Wii and blogging in the morning...

Here are some random photos....

the moisture on my car window yesterday....

Stinky after she got back from the vet the other day.... She's zonked out.

My toes before the pedicure....

And after..... aren't they beautiful???

I have to go now... more later.

The Claw

I've gone and done it...

I don't want to talk too much about it but I did something I've been griping about for a while now...

Here is a video that Max and I made last night while he was visiting... I think he's going to be a star someday.

(okay - the video is not uploading correctly so I will try again later)

It's a good thing. Even if nothing comes from it I don't care... at least I've taken a step forward...

I have scheduled myself a pedicure this afternoon so that will be nice... I have a gift card left over from last years birthday... it's been 11 months - why not do it now... maybe tomorrow I'll show some toe cleavage..

I'm still stiff from my fall the other day - I think I may have to make a date with the chiropractor this week. It sucks getting old.

Here are some photos I took on my computer last night as well...

Max getting his teeth brushed....

A thermal image of Max, Leo, and Melissa....

Max, and the claw, with mom and Leo in the background...

Looks like a lot of fun doesn't it???

Sick of it all...

I'd like to just say to hell with all of it right now...

I'm just not in the mood to deal with anything right now...

As I said the other day I don't think I could manage having children. This is because they make a lot of noise and are messy... but I suppose if they are your own it doesn't matter that much.

Here's a special effect picture of my cleavage from yesterday... it was looking pretty good for 41 year old cleavage... I think I should bring it out more often.

Get out the wheelchair.

This morning I am feeling the results of my fall the other day... it just hurts to move.

Last night I sucked it up and bought a Wii. Now I just need to find a Wii fit so I can work out at home... not that I don't work out enough as it is but, you know...

Tonight the sister and the nephews are coming over for dinner...

it's nice to not have to really do anything today... except clean.

I'm going to go roll myself into the kitchen now and get some ice...

Stinky is on the mend.

I am happy to announce that Stinky didn't have any accidents last night and I think she's on the road to recovery.

I think I mentioned yesterday that I don't think that I could ever have children... it would be too stressful.

I am actually looking forward to this weekend... no workshops to put on, nothing that I have to do... I'm feeling a bit crampy but I can get over it... Maybe I'll go see a movie or start getting my act together and work on my teaching cv. I think I might put my name in for the faculty pools of Central Washington and Western Washington Universities... it's a start.

I could commute and or live in Bellingham or Ellensburg... maybe it's cheaper than Seattle... Hell, I could even commute. It's a start.

Pointy gold shoes of death strike again.

I fell down again today while wearing the pointy gold shoes of death. I think I'm going to throw them into the dumpster.

My hip hurts and my toenail as well. Beauty Kills.

Stinky is back from the vet... she had bacteria in her tummy and she has special food and drugs to take care of her belly. They had her on fluids all day and she is now resting comfortably on my lap. She ate a big bowl of her new special food when she got home... they took x-rays so they will call with those results later... I don't think I could ever have children... having a dog is hard enough...

Okay - I'll post more tomorrow... I have to give Stinky a squeeze.

Things Suck....

Stinky has a bum tummy... the past two mornings we've woken up to diarrhea in the kitchen... when I came home yesterday it was all over the floor again. She's sitting next to me right now and she's shivering. I don't want my Stinky to be dehydrated.

I think my momma is going to try to get her into the vet this morning...

Other thinks suck besides Stinky being sick... I can't go into them right now...

I think I'll get a move on now and spend some quality time with my dog.

Hump day is here.

Bus hit me... or at least it feels like it...

I've been thinking about what I want to do with my life... I contacted the career development department at school and think I'm going to set up a meeting with them to go over what I need to do to apply for teaching jobs. I like having a steady paycheck but I don't feel stimulated at all...

I also mentioned to the people in charge that I would be interested in learning how to teach cycle class... that would be interesting - teaching art, teaching cycle, making art... I could never move out of my mothers house....

grrrr....

Tuesday, March 17, 2009

Whaaaa????

My post disappeared so I'm pissed off.... happy stinking St. Patrick's day.

It was all about getting off my butt and applying for teaching gigs, but it disappeared so I'm not going to re-write it.

Goodbye P-I.... I'll miss you even though I"m a Seattle Times girl.

Monday, March 16, 2009

I've lost that feeling again (in my legs).

I woke this morning and I coudn't figure out why my legs hurt and then it came back to me... yes, you did run a 5k yesterday.

This is the outfit I decided to wear...

This is what my feet looked like when I was running...

This is the view from the race...

I managed to get through the whole thing without stopping or falling down... I think all the cycling I do has helped my endurance immensely.

In another arena - I forgot to mention that I only gained 1.6 pounds on Saturday when I weighed in. I was pleased with that....

I think now that my show is over I may get back to getting on track eating wise.... I have to now start thinking about what I want to do for my show in July.... I think I shall go back to objects / things instead of events.... I like aspects of video but I don't know what I would do with that...

Oh, more pressure... just what I need.

I just took some Advil so hopefully it will kick in soon.

Oh, here's a rant... to all those people who signed up for the red wave of the dash and then walked - GET OUT OF THE WAY!!! I just don't understand it... either sign up for a slower wave or move to the side.... I WILL RUN OVER YOU!!!

Okay - here's another thing that pisses me off... I'm tired of hearing about people going all these different places and I can go because I HAVE TO PAY OFF MY STUDENT LOANS!!! I can't afford to take fancy trips, I can't buy a condo, I can't move out of my Mother's house because I CAN'T AFFORD IT!

Do I feel better??? Not really.... I feel the old, semi-cranky Jen coming back...

Oh how I've missed you...

Sunday, March 15, 2009

Once again I am not ready...

This morning I have to run in the St. Patty's Day Dash and I'm not really looking forward to it because it's cold and raining outside. I have not had sufficient preparation time to get together my outfit, nor am I feeling any motivation.

I suppose I could wait until the very last minute to get ready and leave the house... I'm not very good at being cold.

If I manage to get through the race I will be going to a camp meeting this afternoon.

I think it's raining outside... I don't want to go (but I must)...

I suppose I should just suck it up and go.

Saturday, March 14, 2009

It's not going to be pretty.

I have to weigh in this morning and I'm guessing I'll be up at least five pounds. I ate over four boxes of Girl Scout cookies this past week, not to mention a few donuts (at least 8) and the other normal crap...

It's not going to be pretty.

This is pretty though...
I took these photos of the EMP yesterday when I was picking up my t-shirt and timing chip for the St. Patty's Day Dash.
Some people think it's ugly but I kind of like it...

I better head out... I've got things to do, places to go and people to see!

Friday, March 13, 2009

Friday!

It's Friday the 13th, it's payday and it's the last weekend of my show. I'm back at home which is nice... I like house sitting but I like my dog and my own bed more.

Today I have to go pick up my race number and shirt at the Seattle Center during lunch and I also have to be at the gallery to get the treadmill picked up.

Here's the video in case you missed it....

The pervs like it.... I still think I look like a horse walking in heels...

I have successfully eaten all my girl scout cookies I ordered... I think I'm going to be in store for a big weight gain this week at ww. It's alright I think things will get better once my show is over and done with.

I guess I should get going... if only I could sit here all day... no commitments - a nice boy to rub my achy high heeled feet....

Thursday, March 12, 2009

I thought the worst was over.

I was thinking my legs were getting better but they are still sore today.

I head back home tonight but I need to pack up everything from where I'm housesitting (the damn cat wanted me to get up this morning before I was ready to...).

My show is almost over at Crawl Space - overall I think is gone pretty well, but I think I may go back to making things for a while... or maybe I'll make more videos - get better at them... as I was putting them together for my show I realized that they are a lot like my blog.. I can't really tell you how just yet though.

I posted my treadmill video on Youtube yesterday and it turns out two people really like it (in that type of way). The two people who subscribed to my videos have a collection of high heel videos and /or pole dancing videos. I watched one of the pole dancing videos... not too exciting. Oh to be admired for my high heeled feet! I think I look like a horse trying to walk in big lady shoes.

I better go. I have to start with some of the clean up before I head off to work.

Wednesday, March 11, 2009

Still on Hiatus

My legs are still in a holding pattern when it comes to operating correctly. Maybe they will be fully recovered by Sunday morning.

I've been working on videos from my workshop Saturday and am happy to report that I have (or will) be posting them on I Will Survive. I also have a follower on YouTube! If only I could get followers to my blogs.

Here's another picture from Sunday...

It looks grueling doesn't it?

It was - luckily I have fairly strong shoulders and I wasn't too incapacitated.

Tuesday, March 10, 2009

I think I've lost the feeling in my legs.

I woke up this morning and I think my legs aren't working. I went to body sculpt and cycle last night and I think I have overused them. I guess that's what I get for walking around in big lady shoes right?

I slept like a log last night... I don't think I woke up at all. I started falling asleep in the chair last night before I dragged my butt off to bed. I've been housesitting and I didn't hear the cats at all.

I'm thinking it would be really nice if I could just hang out all day and not go into work but alas I can not.

Let me see.... what do I have going on the rest of the week??? Oh, I have the St. Patty's Day dash on Sunday so I guess I should take care of my legs... Friday I have to go down to the Seatle Center and pick up my number and my shirt. Saturday is my last training event at the gallery - a roundtable discussion about how to be the best reality show contestant.

I am still tired - I'm zoning out while I sit here... I better go.

Monday, March 09, 2009

Ouch.

That red thing under my toenail is a blood blister. It hurts a little bit this morning.

My endurance challenges went alright yesterday... I'm just really tired today. I didn't have any downtime this weekend. I will be happpy when this is all over (or will I?).

Oh yeah, my calves and butt hurt a lot today too... I'm not used to walking in high heels am I? No I'm not.

I'm not sure my brain is working at full capacity this morning... I am drawing a blank on what to tell you... I guess that means I should go.

Sunday, March 08, 2009

Am I ready?

I spent most of yesterday on the go. Picking up treadmills, putting together treadmills, getting waxed, celebrating birthdays, weighing in, cycling, drinking beverages, feeding cats etc...

This afternoon I have a workshop at the gallery. I think you should all come out and participate. It will be fun.

On the waxing front... it turns out that my thighs are not that hairy. Just a few hairs just above the back of my knees. I am afraid that I am just going to have to continue to get waxed... I think I might have to get another job to pay for it all... (or find me a benefactor).

At WW I was down 1.2 pounds... I'm almost back to where I was pre show. It's good... I'm looking forward to getting back to goal and not having to pay. It' s been over a year I think.

I guess I'll get moving now... my body is telling me to do things...

Saturday, March 07, 2009

Too much to do too little time.

I don't know if I'm going to make it.

too much to do too little time.

Anyone want to help me put together a treadmill?

No snow....

I don't have time for it to snow today.

I have to move treadmills, get waxed and attend a birthday dinner.

I also have to write my artist statement over again.....

Argh.

I need to get rid of this...

Sure, it doesn't look so bad in the photo but in real life...

Okay, I've got to go.

Friday, March 06, 2009

Don't mess with the Girl Scouts.

Did you all hear about the people who tried to buy Girl Scout Cookies with counterfeit money? What is wrong with people.... I know the cookies are good but using funny money to buy them? You should be ashamed of yourselves...

Another exciting Friday is here... I've been slowly going crazy. Yesterday I thought I was going to have to reschedule my waxing appointment for tomorrow... it turns out that I have to pick up supplies for my workshop at 11:15 and I thought I was going to have to reschedule my appointment... it turns out that my appointment was at 1:30... I just wrote it in my calendar and it looked like 11:30. Whew. I was worried there for a second.

I'm sitting here and the sofa and my mother isn't up yet. (that's not normal...) the thought did cross my mind that she might be dead... but I just heard her cough so everythings alright. That would not be a pleasant thing to have to deal with.

On that pleasant note I guess I should pack it in and get ready to face the day...

Thursday, March 05, 2009

That's Ms. Barista to you...

I think a barista at my Starbucks likes me....

He often gives me 50 cent refills on my Americanos... It was half decaf... sorry I couldn't stand it anymore... I had to have some juice!

Hello Everyone.

I have a few more minutes this morning to devote to you....

I am going crazy... too many things to do, too little time. This working full time is bringing me down. I do appreciate having a job, it just gets in the way of artmaking sometimes.

I'm really looking forward to having my legs waxed on Saturday - they are getting pretty hairy. Not that it's uncomfortable - it's just unattractive.

Tonight is first Thursday (art walk).... do I go? Or do I go to the gym? If I were a good artist I would go to the Art Walk... maybe I don't mean "good" artist - I should say "more dedicated" artist.

Oh what I go through....

I'm also trying to work on a new artist statment written in third person... man, that's hard.

Okay, I better go... as I said, too much to do, too little time.

Wednesday, March 04, 2009

Late Start this morning...

I can't type long, one thing has lead to another and I have to take a shower - I have no time to blog!
I'll try to get back to you later.

Tuesday, March 03, 2009

The dreaded Romanian dead lift.

Yesterday at the gym we did a heck of a lot of dead lifts. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about they look like this.....

This morning the back of my legs (hamstrings specifically) are very very very very sore.

I managed to figure out how to extract stills from my videos so here are a few from my workshop on Sunday...

Here I am sheltering myself from the rain in my home made shelter...

Here is the fire I made....

hmm toasty.....

Today I plan on having another fun filled day at work. At least three people were sick yesterday - so I got to help out around the office with various tasks.

Tonight I have a meeting which means I am going to miss the biggest loser (argh)... I guess it's alright if I miss it every once in a while.

What else have I got this morning??? I have a little bit of a gas bubble in my lower intestines - hopefully it will dissipate before I get to work...

Monday, March 02, 2009

She Makes Fire!

I know this photo should go on my I will survive blog but I thought you might like to see it....

I made a fire! I'm sure it would have been better if it hadn't been raining... I could have gotten more of a fire going. I bought an aluminum roasting pan to build it in and it wasn't working so well so I resorted to a paper plate. (it burns easily)....

The only think I notice about my workshops is that not a lot of people come... I invite my friends but they don't come. As I said before - I don't think my friends here in Seattle realize that my art life if important (a few do but for the most part they are losers).

It doesn't do a lot for my self esteem when no one I invite comes.

Thank goodness for the interns... they come and participate and have a good time. I love them.

Today I don't think there's too much exciting going on... I may try to do some Survivor Shopping during lunch (swimsuit, bra, shoes)....

Only five days until the hair on my legs goes away! Yay!

Sunday, March 01, 2009

Dreaming about mice.

Have I told you all that Miguel the rat is back? I saw him in the basement a few weekends ago. We've been keeping the door to the basement closed but sometimes it creeps open.

Last night I dreamt about mice in my bedroom. There were five that I grabbed with my bare hands and wrangled out from under a clothes pile. I hope this isn't foreshadowing anything.

My arm is feeling pretty good today - I am pretty excited about it all. I don't want to overuse it though - I don't want to have to get another shot.

Today I have a workshop at the gallery, I'm going to make fire, build shelter and eat bugs. I'm not really looking forward to that part but I will do it because I am a Survivor.

That's my leg... and the hair growing on it... it will all be gone by a week from today (yay!).

Saturday, February 28, 2009

Good Morning this fine Saturday!

Why am I in such a chipper mood? I think it could be because I woke up this morning and my arm isn't killing me for once.

It still hurts but this morning it was significantly better. I also lost 1.6 pounds this week! I would have lost more if I hadn't eaten that half a can of chocolate frosting last night.... or the Cheez-it party mix... that's really yummy if you haven't tried it yet.

This morning at the gym Mr. Arms wasn't there... I miss him....

I better get a move on. I have a lot of things to do for tomorrow's workshop at the gallery.

I'll try to post more tonight.

Friday, February 27, 2009

Elbow update.

I mentioned yesterday that I was going to the doctor to have my arm checked out again. Well, I did and she decided to give me a cortisone shot in my elbow... hopefully that should take care of it. It still hurts this morning but hopefully it will start getting better soon.

I think I have gotten over the whooshy leg feeling brought about by Mr. Arms yesterday... I just wish his voice sounded a bit different. It's really hard to explain but it sounds gravelly and a bit rough.

On Today's agenda I am going to take my friend Zaida out to lunch for her birthday and this evening my friend Jenna is playing at Third Place Books. It's close and it starts early so I am going to go see it. Tomorrow I get to organize things for my workshop on Sunday.

I better get moving...

Thursday, February 26, 2009

Mr. Arms Part Deux

He talked first tonight!

Let me recreate the scene for you.... I had gone to the gym early because of my Dr. Appointment... after an hour of cycling on the bike I was cooling down and stretching my quads (and conveniently not staring at arms) when he waved his hand in front of my face (from a distance) and said "you in your own little world?" I replied "yes"... he then said "I hope it's a good world" and I said "It's excellent!" I WANTED to add "It would be more excellent if you were here right next to me in it... heh heh heh..." but I didn't... and I didn't ask his name....

I still can't get over the voice...

Holy Stinking Snow!!

It's snowing this morning and I need to go to the doctor today... I'm trying to decide if I need to drive today or not. I was going to so I could get to my appointment on time.

I can't decide.

Last night we had a sub in our cycle class... after class was over she told me I had really good form. That was nice to hear.... maybe someday I will get off my butt and learn how to teach.

I don't have time to hang around this morning. Talk to you later.

Wednesday, February 25, 2009

Crampy gassy bundle of love.

The title of this post explains it all... I'm feeling a bit rough this morning (do you like that term?)

Let me see what I've got for you this morning... yesterday I went to our harassment seminar. I ate far too much and did sort of learn what constitutes harassment.... lunch was pretty good - I managed to score of bunch of baby bel cheeses and some apples.

Last night I got a new hairdo - kind of shorter and more Survivor - esque if you ask me. I also picked up a new purse that is giraffe patterned.

Before the haircut....

What we were going for...

The end result...

I think it's pretty close... I usually have raccoon eyes by the time I get to my hair appointment... so I apologize for that.

I think I might head to the showers now... I'm feeling gooey inside.

Tuesday, February 24, 2009

Harass this!

Today at work we are having a mandatory sexual harassment seminar at work. I'm solely going for the free lunch. I guess I might be able to learn something useful from the whole thing...

My insides are very uncomfortable this morning... maybe it's too much fiber in my diet...

Okay, last night I took a cycle class as well as body sculpt and core and I think it's the first time in a few weeks that I've worked really hard... I'm a bit sore this morning... my elbow though isn't getting any better... I've made an appointment to go see the Doctor on Thursday to get it checked out again. Maybe they'll give me a shot of cortizone to make it feel better.... I'm tired of it hurting... it's also cramping my survivor style.

What else??? Crusty II is a beautiful piece of machinery... her trackpad is like butter and her keys are sleek and black.... I love her.

On the agenda today - I need to work on a new artists statement and figure out things for my workshop this weekend.

Okay, I better get a move on...

Monday, February 23, 2009

Good Morning!

I just wanted to check in before I get going at work. Today may turn out to be not so bad. The only bad thing happening this morning is that I'm a bit crampy.

Other than that things look good.

I will try to check back later with my review of the Oscars (yawn...).

Sunday, February 22, 2009

Hello and good morning.

How is everybody doing this morning? I am doing alright. My arm is sore so I've been icing it for the past hour or so... I have to make an appointment to see the doctor again because it's not getting any better. Just what I need - more crap to get in the way of training...

This afternoon there is an afternoon of playing games and puzzles at the gallery. I hope a few people come... It not, I'll have Jordan the intern play with me - assuming she doesn't have Art History homework to study... I could help her with that...

After the workshop I am going to head over to Dad's to go out to dinner... then I have to beat cheeks to get home for the Academy Awards... I love watching the awards but I must admit I haven't seen too many films this year. I did see Rachel Getting Married and that was really good... Maybe if I had someone to go to movies with me I would go out more often.

Oh well, I better move if I want to get to the gym and then organized to go to the gallery.

More later.

Saturday, February 21, 2009

Happy Saturday!

I am feeling alright today - there was a mention of my show on Slog yesterday (the Stranger's News and Arts blog) and some of the comments weren't so nice. Someone called it self pretentious garbage... that kind of hurt but then I clicked on the link of that person's website I come to find that they are some person who is anti conceptual art and they also have bad fashion sense.

They can just suck it. I'm still going to do what I do and I'm not going to apologize for it. I think everyday people will relate to the work....

I went to ww this morning and was up 2.2 pounds. That's not too much of a shocker - this trying to get over caffeine is not so easy... when I feel bad I eat.

On the agenda today - organize tomorrow's workshop and try to get things lined up for next weeks events. It's hard doing double duty... I think for my next show I might go back to object making... it seems less complicated. I'll see if I can do it.

Friday, February 20, 2009

Sleeping in.

I decided to sleep in until 5:56 this morning. Since I have given up the caffeine I don't really need to spend all that time in the morning caffeinating myself now do I?

I am coming to you from Crusty II. She is beautiful, but I have the wrong firewire cord now so I still can't do video... if it's not one thing it's another.

I am really tempted to drink caffeine, but I know I shouldn't. Oh I hate training sometimes.

Today I am going to lunch with Matt and Bryan, I've eaten crap all week long so it's not going to be pretty when I step on that scale tomorrow morning at ww.

Thursday, February 19, 2009

Crusty II comes today.

Hopefully she won't have any issues...

I am pooped... I've been having a hard time keeping the I will survive blog and my blog separate in my mind... maybe I shouldn't... I have been off the caffeine since Sunday (with a small sip yesterday) and I am having a heck of a time staying up late and getting up at my normal time. Last night I ended up falling asleep at 9:00. I missed the majority of Lost. It's a good thing they repeat the previous weeks episodes beforehand so I can catch up.

I think I may have to lie down for a few minutes before I get ready for work...

Wednesday, February 18, 2009

Where's Crusty II?

She's been on her way from Anchorage for the past 36 hours or so and I want her now!

I've been having a rough few days (lack of caffeine) and I need some good news in my life.

Tuesday, February 17, 2009

I'm giving it up.

Today I have given up caffeine... and shaving my legs.
I'll let you all know how it goes.

Monday, February 16, 2009

Even Jane Fonda blogs.

Who knew? It just means that I am far ahead of the curve.

Today I have to go get my tires checked out... can't be out of balance can I?

I am enjoying my last day of caffeine for a while. If I'm going into training I have to be on the top of my game....

More later.

Sunday, February 15, 2009

It's hard to compete with the day of love...

The opening went pretty well. Not as many people showed up as I would have hoped for but when you're competing with the day of love what can you do?

I think the show looks pretty good and now I have to focus on the events coming up.

I slept in until 6:10 this morning... that's pretty good I think. Today I plan on going to the gym and then I have to clean up my crap so my friend Matt can do filming in the house.

I'm exhausted. Good thing tomorrow's a holiday.

Saturday, February 14, 2009

Crusty II is on her way.

I managed to make it through the week and only gain .8 pounds. Considering I only went to the gym once I think I'm doing pretty well.

For the most part the show is set up (I may have said that last night but I don't remember).... now I only have to decide what to wear. It's hard for a would be survivor to pick the right clothing for these things...

Mr. Arms was at the gym today - I should have invited him to the opening... oh well, I'm a big fat chicken. This was my first workout Since Sunday and I didn't die... I didn't work as hard as I normally do but that's alright... I need to work up to it.

I better get off my backside and get back to things.

Friday, February 13, 2009

Please Forgive Me.

I left the house this morning at 5:45 am and just got home 14 minutes ago.

The show is up for the most part and there are just a few things left to do.

I went to work today and I think I'm over the cold for the most part... I just have the residual phlegm and funny dry red patch under my nose.

I think I might crash and burn tomorrow night. (not during the opening - after.)

I sucked it up and ordered a new new crusty... maybe we'll call her crusty II. Okay, I think I will go now and spend time with my dog.

A big ball of phlem.

I'm staying home again today. I feel a bit better - but still a bit phlemy. I'm feeling better about the show. I think it will be alright if I can just shake the cold.

I was looking on my credit card statement and I have found that they have credited my account for the return of new crusty. I guess I can order a new new crusty now... what to do... The only bad thing is that they didn't refund the thirty extra bucks I paid for faster shipment. That sucks. Maybe I'll call them today and try to get the money back.

I should go check on my video and see if it has rendered yet.

Later gators!

The green star.

See here.

The green star means they recommend it. If they only knew what they were getting into.

I'm home sick.

Tuesday, February 10, 2009

Uhhhh....

I think I might pull through.... I actually got a dvd to burn which is the best thing... it only took me seven plus hours to figure it out.

I think I'll go to bed soon since I am worn out.

I left work early because the cold is getting worse... I may lay low tomorrow and try to beat this thing before it gets any worse. I have to be in peak physical shape to get this training program started.

I've noticed in watching the videos of myself (oops I let it slip) that my teeth need some whitening...

okay... the biggest loser is making me cry... I better go.

I'm here.

It's crunch time and you might not hear from me for a while.

The cold is hovering in my nasal area - I'm tired and I feel a bit barfy. Nothing like sickness to get someone into full training mode.

According to the news this morning one thing that can make you happy is to start a blog.

WHO KNEW????

I might not make it.

I have been a video editing fiend. I just have to figure out how to burn everything so it works.

I have a sore throat - that's not good... I need more power in my laptop.... I need a benefactor... and I need a mac expert.

I need an extra week to work on things.

Sunday, February 08, 2009

word to your mother.

Right now I'm icing the arm... it's a bit sore this morning - partially I think because I didn't ice it yesterday.

My throat is sore - now is not the time to get a cold. I have to train!

I got waxed yesterday and made appointments for other waxing to be completed later.

I wish I had more of a handle on video related things...

I'll be back later - I think. Throat hurts....

also, people on Facebook need to learn how to spell.

Saturday, February 07, 2009

Video Blowout.

I have to get videos done this weekend. No time for anything else (okay, well maybe cycle and getting my brows and lip waxed) but then it's all videos.

I actually managed to stay up until 10:00 last night - but then I was out like a light.

I've been so stinking tired lately and it's only going to get worse.

I guess I should get up and do something with my life.

I'm legit!

For all of you out there from the UW Psychology program I am a legitimate artist and I'm not too crazy. Please help me out!

There has been some interest in my show shown by a web site (they are thinking of writing a blurb about it). That means I need to shore up my schedule of events today. I have too much to do and too little time. I don't want my activities to be duds. The only thing I'm not 100 percent sure of is the first weekend's theme outwit. How does a nice afternoon of skill building in the puzzle area - we could also make fake immunity idols... all whilst watching past seasons episodes. What do you all think?

On another note... I found out that Apple has labeled Old Crusty as obsolete. She was made over 7 years ago and they won't manufacture or service her anymore. I guess I should get her checked out soon and see if I can get her ports fixed before she can't be saved. That also means I should get on the ball and order a new new crusty.

For those of you from the Psych department at the UW Old Crusty is my laptop and sometimes best friend. That's not too abnormal is it?

Okay - anyone out there with other ideas for workshops for my show let me know. also, if anyone has mad video skills give me a holla! (yeah, middle aged white girl trying to act hip) I need you!

New Crusty - you lived a good short life.

New Crusty has to go back to the computer farm. She's beyond repair.... which is good news because this way I can get a laptop that has a firewire port. The bad news is that I won't have a new laptop in time for the show. I will get a new crusty soon though...

I am trying to arrange people for my panel... it's hard trying to get anyone to take me seriously.

Today I am going to lunch with my coworkers at the Union Square Grill - it's closing soon... to be replaced by a Mexican place... oh, I remember the good times I used to have there after work sometimes...

Too much to do too little time.

New Crusty Meet Old Cranky.

I got new Crusty yesterday and was very excited until I realized that there is no firewire port on her. This means I can't transfer videos from my camera. How stupid is apple for eliminating this necessary item?

I guess I should have verified what was included before I purchased it, but my motto is low tech, full effect. I guess my impatience has gotten me in a bind once again.

In case you were wondering I am using Old Crusty to post this... there seems to be an issue as well with my screen freezing up on new crusty... What do I do? oh, and new crusty powers down intermittently. That's inconvenient. it just happened.... argh.

In general this is an all around sucky situation... especially if you're going to do a video intensive project. I suppose I could get a new camera that is compatible - but what the fudge??? I can't even plug in any of my old external hard drives even if I wanted to....

I sure hope this week gets better soon.

I don't have to rent myself out...

Not that I thought I would have to but you never know...

I don't know if I mentioned it before but my mamma was looking for a job and she got one yesterday. She will be working at a law firm as a part time receptionist. I'm not sure how all of the women in my family ended up working in the legal field... I'm not complaining though...

I am trying to get the lineup for my show nailed down. I need to find me some boyscouts who know how to make fire. I need my survival skills...

Did I mention that I'm at negative 19.5 points for the week now? I had a rough couple of days. Hopefully once I start my training regimen the out of control eating will go away...

Also, I want to warn you all now that I will probably not be keeping up with the rant while I'm in training. I love to blog but I don't know if I'll be able to keep up both of them at the same time.

I guess I'll wrap it up early... I need to contact some people and try to get my work together for my show.

hugs and kisses!

Monday, February 02, 2009

Monday is my fun day.

In the immortal words of the Bangles today will be my fun day.

I checked the status of my new laptop and it's currently in China. Maybe I'll name it ping or wing or something like that...

Yesterday I ate far too many things that were less than good for me. I am at negative 15 points for the week. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to hit the gym. I only need two cycle classes to make up for the deficit.

I don't think this post will be too long this morning, I'm icing my elbow and it's hard to type and balance a bag of ice on your arm at the same time.

Today I have to get cracking on my schedule for training so it can be posted on the Crawl Space website... Oh, what have I gotten myself into.

Sunday, February 01, 2009

New Crusty is on her way!

Maybe new crusty is a boy? I don't know what I'll call him then.... buster? Buddy. Mac?

Buddy Mac? slim?

What does one name a new laptop?

It should be here by Wednesday.

The shortest month of the year.

Welcome to February - the month of love, Superbowls and my show. Who knows? Maybe I will meet the man of my dreams this month and have yet another thing to fit into my busy, yet mundane life.

Last night I experienced wii fit. My wii fit age is 36. That's pretty good - but wii also told me that I was overweight... that's fine and good - but I don't think I'm overweight... according to wii I would only have to lose about three pounds to not be.

I can see how I could become addicted to it all - doing that hula hoop game could be addictive.

I met with Joanna yesterday to talk about my show and she thinks it sounds interesting. She doesn't necessarily think I'm crazy (well, not in that way). So I feel a little bit better. The only thing I wish is that I had better video editing skills. And someone to teach me survival skills...

My arm strap for my tennis elbow is proving problematic... I can't get it on right. It's either too tight or too loose... I don't want it to cut off my circulation but I want it to support my arm. What is a girl to do?

Saturday, January 31, 2009

It's hard to be a survivor with a bum arm.

It's official, I have tennis elbow and I get to wear this funny looking strap on my arm

This is definitely going to put a cramp in my fashionable lifestyle. I guess there's no sleeveless gowns in the future for me.... even if I wanted to put on the almost slutty dress it wouldn't go very well with the arm band.

So - enough wining. Today on the agenda - go to ww - cycle (body sculpting is out for a while... at least the arm stuff) and then I'm meeting with my friend Joanna who is going to write about my work for the show.... you might know her from here. I also have to figure out videos today and then it's off to Malyn's for dinner and movies (hey look, I'm actually going out for once!).

and yes, I sucked it up and ordered myself a new computer. Old crusty is going to have a new friend to play with. My boss Shirley pointed out the fact to me that I paid a certain amount for old crusty and she's lasted me almost six years - if you break that down she's been a great value... My new friend should be here around the 9th or so... just in time for my online adventures.

I suppose I should pack it in for the morning and get going... I was up a few times during the night... I'm starting to worry about the show... I got some things lined up though so that's nice... I'm not as scattered as I once was.

Friday, January 30, 2009

To Laptop or not to laptop.

I have been mulling over weather or not I should get a new laptop. I would never get rid of Old Crusty, but I think she may have outlived her usefulness in this lifetime. I don't know if she'll be able to keep up with my rigorous training schedule that I've set up for my show...

I think I got a little bit of a raise so that helps a little bit... it's just the thought of taking on more debt. It's not unmanageable but I'm wondering if Suze Orman would say I can afford it. Probably not.

I have to act fast though, maybe I should just bite the bullet.

News - we had a small earthquake this morning. It woke me up. (now King 5 is having people call in and talk about what and how they felt... this is not news - give me a break).

Tomorrow night I'm going over to my best friends house... I am going to try to bounce some ideas off her.

This weekend I also need to get some of my visuals made for my opening. Time is running out... I don't know how I'm going to work in everything I need to do.

I took this a few days ago at sunset...

Later this afternoon I am going to the doctor to get my arm checked out. It wouldn't be prudent to train with a bum arm...

Okay, it's time to go now... carry on.

Thursday, January 29, 2009

It's a funny thing

My friend Nancy called me last night in a state of confusion... she had been talking to our friend Kitty and she was under the impression that I had already gotten on the show Survivor. I wish... I don't think I'd be able to talk about it though if I was on it. Sort of like that other show I can't talk about even though it's far past the time of it ever airing...

I've been going through stages of thinking about my show wondering if I can pull it off. I've got the press release and I'm working on making a few changes before it goes out. There's no turning back now... I'll have to beat cheeks this weekend in order to get some things done. I have to get down the ability to get videos put together for youtube... I'm thinking I'll have more photos rather than video... I'm also thinking I may have to suck it up and find a replacement for old crusty (my laptop).

Okay - I think I'm going to go now and post ads to Craigslist trying to find people who auditioned for the show...

Heat gun time.

This morning at class we had a special treat. A heat gun that measured how hard we were working...

I made it from a 69 to a 75. I think that's not too bad....

Today went fairly well, I've made an appointment to have my elbow checked out. I think I might be coming down with tendonitis and I should get it checked out before go into survivor training full force..... speaking of training I think I may have found someone to teach me how to make fire...

I need to get things put together a bit this weekend... I'm not sure I'm going to be able to stay up for lost this evening... thank god everything is online these days. I luvs me some computer technology...

Rejected.

I am trying to put together my panel discussion for my show and nobody wants to help me out.

Let me re-state that. No mental health professionals want to help me out.

what is a girl to do.

I have to get going so I can enjoy my last Wednesday morning cycle class for a while...

I suppose its a good thing, this way I can get a few extra hours of sleep.

Tuesday, January 27, 2009

Not sleeping.

I thought I might get a good night sleep last night but it didn't happen.

I got a message from my friend Chad regarding my show which got me thinking... now everything's changing... if only we didn't have to publicize the show then I could make all these changes at the last minute and not feel freaked out about it.

Anyone out there want to loan me a treadmill?

I could also use a new computer. Help me.

Monday, January 26, 2009

Beat down like a rug.

Hopefully these nice pictures will help calm you this morning...

We had a meeting last night and it lasted a long time... not too bad, but I don't particularly enjoy staying out past 10 p.m. I think tonight I may crash and burn when it's all over.

I discussed my ideas for the show with the group and we're going to go into some strange territory but I need to plan it all out. I think I'm just going to have "Events" at the gallery that help me and others hone their "mad Survivor Skills" and then post the rest of my training schedule online via a blog, YouTube and Twitter. It's weird to think that you have a gallery without anything in it.

Now I have the task of coming up with "events" to hold on the weekend that the public can come to.

I know I'll figure it all out... I'm just a bit stressed because the press release needs to go out in the next few days and decisions need to be made.

I feel sick, I have to go.

Sunday, January 25, 2009

That icky feeling...

I'm trying not to get too stressed out. But I must admit it's not working too well.

As I said last night I have to figure out what's going in the gallery for my show. Since the majority of the work is going to based online I probably should have a computer there (where do I get one?)... also, do I put in props? Memorabilia? video (of course...).... is this all just narcissistic nonsense? I think maybe it is.

I don't want to crash and burn... I had a near panic attack about an hour ago when I though I only had one weekend to get my crap together... luckily I realized I have two plus a partial day. The only possible up side is that I may lose my appetite and get back down to my goal weight quicker than anticipated.

I think the last time I felt this anxious was when I was in New York getting ready for Scope.

I have started writing down a list of possible things I can put in the gallery and it's making me feel a little bit better but not much... I know in the back of my mind everything will work out I just have to have faith in everything... it's just hard.

How do I convey it all? It'd be nice if I was independently wealthy and didn't have to work full time. Then I could focus the next three weeks... I'm seriously going to have to curb my workout regimen. Or at least change my schedule to the morning so I can work on other things in the evening.

Argh.

Saturday, January 24, 2009

Stressing out a bit...

I have three weeks to pull together my show. Is it going to work? what the hell am I doing?

This is the biggest show I've had to date... I sometimes wish I still made things. then it would be easier.... but definitely not as interesting.

Oye.

What's the word?!?

I was actually down a pound today at weigh in today so my current weight is 148.8... 4.6 in three weeks. Not too shabby.

I have also finished my info about my show... I might crash and burn... I guess we'll find out.

Mr. Arms was at the gym but I didn't talk to him today. He is way too popular - I don't know how he keeps his arms in shape with all that talking.

Tonight we're off to dinner at my sister's house. I'm eating prime rib and I'm counting the points. yummy yummy in my tummy!

Okay, this is a bit scattered today but I'm not sure I have ever used the acronym LOL or if I ever will.... strange thing. It's also the same with the phrase 24/7 I don't really like that...

so - does anyone have a mannequin I can borrow?

Friday, January 23, 2009

What the hell am I doing?

I am trying to figure out what I'm doing for my show and I have some sketchy ideas but I'm not sure if it's all going to work out.

argh! Is what I'm doing art? If I call it art does it make it art?

I'm going to try not to think about it too much. It makes my brain hurt.

On a nicer note, they fixed all of the cycles at the gym the other day and now they work like butter. I mean they feel like butter... they are smooth and there's no jerky feeling when you stand up on them...

Last night I was pooped. I was lying on the sofa with my dog and then I was out like a light. I missed the majority of my favorite show the Office. I think I can watch it online though... all is not lost.

Tonight the nephews are coming over to spend the night... I have too much stuff to do...

I guess I'll stop now.

Thursday, January 22, 2009

The whole foot thing.

I don't think I can necessarily become the ultimate Survivor if I have sore feet all the time. Maybe I should schedule an appointment with the foot doctor....

I finally got the photos off my camera and here are a few from the Survivor open call

Me...

The line...

My neighbors in line (Megan and Teresa???) I don't remember her name but she was a Marine. Now that I will remember.

I think I'm going to test out uploading a video to my I'm a Survivor Site.

I suppose I should check it out. More later.

Wednesday, January 21, 2009

Good News and bad.

This morning at cycle class we were informed that Rick (the instructor) has to give up the class. This sucks because I worked extra extra hard in his class.

The good news is that I get to go back to sleeping in. okay, maybe it's not technically sleeping in when you still get up at 5:30 but you get the gist!

Speaking of cycling - they are implementing new rules at the gym which limit you to signing up for 4 classes a week. This is a blow to my firm thigh campaign... I'll manage to survive but it won't be pretty. Maybe I'll just go and work out during off times.

Okay - I have to run because I have to work.

Tuesday, January 20, 2009

Shall we celebrate?

There's a part of me that wishes I could call in sick and watch the inauguration with my doggie next to me.

Yesterday I ended up going to the gym twice. The first time I went I gave up my bike at cycle and ended up doing step aerobics (I'm not so good at that anymore). I went back for body sculpt/core and cycle in the evening. My legs hurt today.

Aye aye aye... I need to figure out what is happening with my show. I know the blog/training part for the most part - but what do I put in the gallery? A video? A "set"? My own immunity challenges? I have to figure it out soon.

I am thinking it's Monday today but it's not, it's Tuesday! That means only four days to work this week! Yippee. I guess that's all I have to say this morning.

Monday, January 19, 2009

Good Morning people!

It sure was nice to sleep in this morning. I am feeling well rested and ready for the day (sort of). The plan today is to go to the gym at 9:30 to cycle and then I might try yoga if I'm not too sweaty.

My momma has a job interview today - I'm going to cross my fingers for her.

What else is on my agenda? I am going to work on the information for my show... I think we've got the postcard down for the most part... and I need to get a schedule down for what I'm going to do and then plan plan plan. I need to figure out my camera and have Matt give me a lesson on things... oh, it's going to be a busy two months...

Does anyone have a spare 2,000 dollars so I can buy a new laptop?

Sunday, January 18, 2009

I've made contact!

I finally had a "real" conversation with Mr. Arms today.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it might be... let me try to recall for you what was said.

First, let me set the scene - Mieko's Gym 9:24 a.m.

There I was standing at the drinking fountain that is right near the Men's locker room. I was filling up my water bottle and getting ready for cycle. I looked up and and he walked out of the locker room. I managed to grunt out a "hey" or something that sounded sort of like that and he said hey back (I think).

Flash forward to post cycle - I did manage to stare at his legs quite a bit during class... he was at one of the machines stationed around the cycle area. It was conveniently in the path to the front desk where they keep the sign up book for class. I was already signed up but I figure any chance to walk by him is good... as I made my way to the desk, beads of sweat dripping down my face it happened... he said either one of the two things... "you're tuckered out" or "you look worn out"... I said something like "I always am" (I think that's what I said the last time we sort of spoke...).

I then went to the desk and rifled through the signup notebook and then walked back towards the locker room. I said "why don't you cycle?" He said "I did on Wednesday" (note to self go on Wednesday...)... He then said "when did you start?" I replied "I started back in April". He then said "how many often do you do it" I replied "at least six times a week" He said, "three?" I said "six" (as I held up my fingers - I was sort of walking away...) and he said "you should start teaching" to which I replied "I've been thinking about it...." and then it was over.

It lasted a good 30 seconds... when I walked back out of the locker room I was going to ask what his name was but he was talking to someone else... he's very popular.

Now the "real" communication boundary has been broken... and I can communicate freely. so what if his voice doesn't match his body...

I can die a happy woman.

Here we are.

It's Sunday - I have got things to do. I will be back later - I'm busy.

Did I mention that I won money at the casino yesterday?

My second and last time ever gambling... okay maybe not the last time.

Saturday, January 17, 2009

I came, I saw, I rambled...

The audition went alright I think. There were some interesting people... and some really nice people.

I'll post more tomorrow when I can get photos off my camera...

I'm ready for my closeup!

Last night I had Matt help me with my video for a backup audition tape. It's pretty good and I'll have to show it to you some day.

I can't stick around too long because I'm going to leave for the casino right after weight watchers. I have to take a shower before I go weigh in...

Hopefully I can take a nap this afternoon.

Friday, January 16, 2009

I am a failure.

I'm not really a failure but I have not stayed on the healthy eating wagon.... I've been house sitting and there is too much bad food around. I am expecting a gain tomorrow when I weigh in.

Today I should be getting my camera via Fedex. let's hope that they don't lose my camera like they lost my box of Today Show memorabilia. Last week I posted that promo of me. There's a promo on that site for my friend James in which you can see my Today show memorabilia. You can see it Here.

It's the shot where he is painting and they are above him. My pile of stuff is to the right of him. It comes in around the fifteen second mark or so... Oh how I miss it. The other day I was watching the episode of title this where I'm a panelist... I was wearing a black sweater in the episode which was also in the box... oh oh oh... also in James promo you can see me in the red raincoat that was lost as well. I know I shouldn't dwell on things I will never get back but it hurts... there was an autographed cookbook from Rocco DiSpirito as well... oh the memories.

Let me see... I have to do the following - finish my application. Determine what I'm going to wear to the casting call tomorrow. Create my schedule of Survivor training and write up a blurb for the show. Man, when did I get to be so busy?

Thursday, January 15, 2009

Is it Friday yet?

It would have been really nice to have slept in this morning...

I have too many things to do before Monday... fill out my Survivor application, write up the info for my show and come up with a training schedule and event listing for it, learning how to use my video camera (once it comes)...

I realized last night that the ports on the right side of old crusty don't recognize anything which means when I plug in my firewire on the camera it won't register. I suppose I should take old crusty in to get her checked out... I noticed she's missing a few screws. Kind of like her momma.

The good news is that today is payday and there is a new episode of the Office on.

The bad news is that I just realized that I have a 100mb limit to videos I can post to my blog. I'm going to have to figure out how to get around this obstacle.... I'll find a way...

Maybe I'll get a move on now... things to do and place and people to see.

Wednesday, January 14, 2009

Evening update...

my tooth feels better - but it still hurts a bit when I bite down. At least the month long headache is gone...

Cycled this morning and I think my legs have lost all the feeling in them.

Tomorrow is payday so I sucked it up and ordered a video camera.

For those of you who read my blog and think that this purchase is a waste of my money - you can just suck it.

There - amen to that sistah!

Look at my roots!

Before my root canal....

After my root canal....

The procedure itself wasn't painful but my tooth area hurts.... every once in a while I'll get that sort of twinge you feel when you bite down on aluminum foil. Not fun.

I am posting tonight because I am going to go to cycle in the morning and I definitely won't be posting before I go.

Okay, I'm watching the Biggest Loser and I swear this season is making me a blubbering idiot. Jerry only lost one pound and it makes me cry... I'm going to need a good supply of Puff's Plus. WAAAAH.

TD!

That would stand for Tooth Day! I am very excited to be having my root canal today... I got to sleep in until 6:50, I am watching the Today Show and I'm drinking coffee.

The only think more I could ask for is my dog and a nice boyfriend to rub my feet.

This just in... a lion at a zoo somewhere had a root canal yesterday (maybe the national zoo???). I'm not the only one.

okay, doesn't this sweat spot look like a tree? (I'm sorry the photo isn't turned around in the proper orientation - I still have problems after all these years of blogging).

Okay, what else? Today I am getting my hair done - I am going to work on my Survivor application - there's an open call at the Muckleshoot Casino on saturday and I'm going. This way I don't have to work on my video... I am still going to put videos together for my show next month... and for training purposes.

Life is looking good - I just have to get past the root canal and things are all downhill from there.

Monday, January 12, 2009

Dear Jeff Probst...

My name is Jennifer and I'm going to be a survivor. I will be going to the casting call at the Muckleshoot Casino this Saturday. Be on the lookout for me. I'm cute, single and just a little bit older than you.

I say pick em young and train em!

Fashion Recap

Last night I watched the Golden Globes and here's what I have to say about the fashions.

Eva Longoria Parker - yes

Rene Zellweger - no (reminded me of a costume from Little House on the Prairie).

I would post pictures but they'll probably be all over the papers today.

Tomorrow is the day I am looking forward to - RCT Day! (Root Canal Therapy Day).

The tooth is going to drive me crazy. I think about the amount of ibuprofen coursing through my body and it's mind boggling. Another perk about tomorrow is that I get to sleep in until 6 or 6:30 - yee haw!

BTW - (by the way for you readers who are not in the loop)... Yesterday when I was at the Mall I got very very hungry... I kept looking around trying to find something to eat and couldn't find anything that was good for me. I decided to try the banana nut bar sample I got at ww the other day - BIG MISTAKE! It is the nastiest thing I have eaten in a long time. STAY AWAY FROM THESE HORRENDOUS MORSELS OF ARTIFICIAL BANANA NASTINESS!

Okay, I have to go now.

Sunday, January 11, 2009

I think I'm going to barf.

Not really, but I don't feel too hot right now.

I have to work on my Survivor application... it's not an easy task.

I wish it would go away.

My tooth is going to drive me crazy.

Hopefully I can handle the next few days and then it will be over.

Onto other things.... I've been taking videos of myself for my Survivor Application but I'm having a problem downloading them to old crusty... I may have to start saving my dollars for a new version of her.

I have to get going on the application... I think I need to send it by tuesday via fedex if it's going to get there in time... I guess I know what I'll be doing today...

It's taken a while but I'm here.

The long commute from Edmonds this morning made it hard to post this morning.

Let me see.... I was down three pounds this morning so the fact that I ate an entire box of Hostess Ding Dongs on Sunday and Monday didn't have too bad of result... not that I would encourage anyone to eat a whole box of ding dongs...

I got my brows and lip waxed today too... I caught it all on film for my survivor application. I need to get working on that too... I'm going to run out of time and not get it all put together...

Maybe I'll take a nap instead. I have an opening at Crawl Space to go to tonight.

Word to your mother.

It's about time, it's Friday.

Click here and you can semi officially see what I did in New York last year.

I don't think I look too bad... what's up with the vein (or is that a muscle) in my neck?

It says I'm a stalker... I wasn't really a stalker... I was just a fan.

I'm at my friend Nancy's house for the next week or so... I like it here but it's a bit of a commute (Edmonds).

I supposed I shouldn't stick around too long then should I?

This is what a crazy cycle person looks like.

Me...

My bike (okay, I know it's not a real bike).

My thighs and shoes...

I took these photo's yesterday morning at my 5:45 class. I also took some videos but I'm still trying to get them onto my computer. I got them onto my mother's Imac but can't find a cd to burn them to to transfer them to my laptop.

Tonight I get to hang out with Mr. Wormie. He's a cat you might recall. I also should go to First Thursday. Since I am an artist I should start acting like one. Shouldn't I?

Stinky slept with me last night... she's a nice little warm thing. Now she's curled up next to me on the sofa.

Next subject - my weight. I've actually done a good job of tracking what I have eaten this week. I even wrote down the chili cheese fritos I ate yesterday. You just need to follow the plan and it works. What a concept!

Okay, I think I'm done for this morning...

I only woke up once in the middle of the night because of my tooth.

An evening at home.

I went to get my tooth checked and I have to have another root canal. It's on the tooth that just had the crown. Fortunately they can drill through it and I won't have to wear the old crown around around my neck on a chain.

My name was on the list for cycle tonight but I called and canceled. I've decided to hang out at home. I need to figure out if I can download all the mini movies I took today onto my computer. I started trying to find my card reader but it's nowhere to be found. I suppose if I picked things up every once in a while I wouldn't have this problem would I?

My application for Survivor needs to be in LA on the 14th (the day after my root canal).. Yes, I'm going to apply... it's a project. Look for the blog soon...

Today's summary.

Stinky's big day.

Today Stinky is eight years old. She sure is cute.

This morning I am suffering from a slight case of PMS. I'm sure you all wanted to hear that didn't you? Just one more egg getting ready to shrivel up and fall out. Dwindling down my reproductive lifecycle to zero, zilch, nada. At least I'll have cute legs and a cute dog if I don't ever have children. Is that a good trade off? I'm not sure.

I suppose I shouldn't dwell on all that - I should get ready to go to work.

It might be a bad tooth day...

I called the dentist today and they told me to call the endodontist. Whoopee! Just what I wanted - the possibility of a root canal - or two.

That's a photo of my tree freshly covered in snow. Maybe that will make me feel better about the possibility of spending a thousand dollars more on my teeth.

Snow again.

It snowed a lot yesterday afternoon and into the night. It's really slushy and wet, and I'm not looking forward to wading into it to get my car to the gym this morning.

Once everyone makes it into work today things should get back to normal.

I think I may have to break down and call the dentist this week. The tooth where I have the new crown has been hurting ever since I had it fixed. Hopefully I won't have to have a root canal. Maybe the crown just needs to be repositioned. I can cross my fingers... if they have to make a new crown maybe they'll let me keep the gold one I have on it now. I could put it on a chain and wear it around my neck.

I am going to give myself five more minutes and then I'm going to go get ready.

It's never a good thing.

Yesterday started off well but went downhill. I sat on the sofa for the better part of the day after getting back from the gym.

Hopefully I'll do better today.

I am supposed to start filming my survivor application video today with my second lovely assistant Matt, but I haven't heard from him yet. I don't even know what I'd film myself doing...

Maybe I'll figure something out.

There's no time like the present.

I weighed in this morning and I was up 1.8 pounds - I thought to myself - what the hell am I doing??? I can lose the 13.8 pounds I've put on since April 2006. I just need to get with the program... I think the biggest problem is that I eat when I'm not hungry.

so here it is... I weigh 153.8 pounds. I'm okay with that weight but I'd like to get back to 140. That's just 6 pounds under the maximum for my height.

I'm thinking maybe we'll start a blog about getting back to goal... I'll list all the food I eat and how much I weigh and how I feel. Maybe I won't though...

The other day I found a slip of paper in one of my old trackers which stated that I wanted to have firmer thighs in 2008. I can say that I accomplished that. They can only get better too! Since I've started wearing my new cycling shoes I can tell that my legs are working harder. I may have skinny legs eventually.

I have no idea what I'm going to do for the rest of the day... maybe I'll take a nap or clean. It could be interesting.

Working on the slowest day of the year.

I have to work today. I have a feeling it's going to be really really slow.....

Hopefully I will have something to do. On Wednesday I had to resort to sorting tabs at my desk. Now I don't know if any of you have sorted tabs but it's not the most exciting thing. I also asked people if they needed help... one person who will remain unnamed made a comment when I didn't know how to do what they needed help with (I'm not a legal secretary...)... let's see if I ever offer to help you again. B*t&%!

Yesterday I deinstalled my work at Crawl Space... I enjoy making my work and even taking it down. I need to start doing it more.

that will be my resolution.... to find a place to make my artwork and then start working on it!!!

there I did it.

I was thinking about asking Mr. Arms what his name was yesterday, but then I heard his voice again and I just can't do it.

I am supposed to go to happy hour after work today... I won't be able to stay long though... I need to weigh in tomorrow so I can eat too much either... I know I should just get back on the ww bandwagon as well (that's another place that is going to be incredibly busy this month...).

This weekend is free communication weekend at eHarmony.... I filled out my compatibility questionnaire about four years ago and have been considering joining. I fixed my profile so it started sending me new matches... Maybe I'll think of this as a "project" and do things that I wouldn't normally do. Not that I would know how to "date"... Maybe I should just suck it up and do it.... the only "real" problem I see is my living situation. Who really wants to date someone who is living with their mother?

Okay, everyone remember to wash your hands.

Resolve.

It's the new year. I have a dog on my lap, a cup of coffee next to me and Ann Curry on the television.

The movie I went to see last night was Rachel Getting Married. It was really good but a bit on the depressing side... I only cried during it three times... I'm a softy.

Today I am off to the gym to take the one and only cycle class offered today... I'm also going to head over to Crawl Space and deinstall my work from the current works show.

I think I've lamented about the new year enough... the only thing I'm not looking forward to is all the new people at the gym who think they want to get fit but won't really follow through. It will be at least a good month before it settles down...

Okay, enough complaining...
