How much food can one shove in their face?

Well actually it's quite a bit. Last night I went to Red Robin for dinner... I had some onion rings, a burger, half a milk shake, a birthday sundae... it was all good and I ate too much. I was burping and tooting all night!

I talked to Karolina yesterday. Things are all set for my visit. I am very excited to see all my friends and catch up. I am also going to go to Art Chicago to see art. I'm sure it will be much more enjoyable than Miami was last December. I'm not saying that I didn't enjoy Miami, but it was under peculiar circumstances and I won't have such a tight schedule this weekend.

I'm easing into my birthday week pretty well... I don't want to overindulge too much... I am almost middle aged an I need to be practical.

I'd like to report that the fit flops are working... ouch.

Tonight I am heading out to West Seattle to have dinner with my friend Debbie... her birthday was last week. April babies rule. Did you know that the Pope is an April baby? Well, now you do.

OH! I ALMOST FORGOT!
I got a message from Maria on Saturday... I finally got paid by the Art Institute for working National Portfolio Day. It's only seven months after the fact and it was sent to my New York address! At least it ended up in the hands of someone I know... too bad they couldn't have gotten it to me when I really needed it. Oh well, I guess I just don't have good luck when it comes to getting paid in a timely fashion. (Remember the Weight Watchers fiasco???).

I am driving into work today so I can spare a few extra minutes with you all... I might also be able to catch a bit of the Today Show... I wonder if Ann is working or if she's taking some time off since her father died.... I guess I'll have to look and see...

I guess that's it for now... take it easy out there...

Ummm... it's Monday.

Where did the weekend go? I'm back at home now... Stinky sure was happy to see me.

This morning I got an email from my friend karolina. I am going to be staying with her when I'm in Chicago. The only problem is that she has no heat, internet, gas.... and she's working on an installation so there won't be a lot of room. Should she really be hosting me? We'll see how it goes...

Last night we went over exhibition proposals for Crawlspace... some semi-interesting ideas... nothing too exciting. It did take a while though... I also signed up for the month of February to have a show. That should keep me moving when it comes to making things.

What else can I tell you? I don't know... come to Crawl Space on Saturday for Tony Weathers opening... I'll tell you more about it later.

KG has a point...

It was pointed out to me by Karolina via email that the photos I posted last night have no nature in them. I will start with an excerpt from her email here...

i like your pictures of the sky scrapers and your statement on nature vs manmade. but, there is no nature in it. if there where trees in the reflection it would go with the statement better. in fact though, i like that there is a complete lack of nature and only man made reflecting man made with the dialogue of natural vs man made being applied to it. because the definition of natural is one that is near impossible to answer.

When I was making the statement I think I was talking in general terms... the clouds in relation to the buildings - the sky... oh hell, I don't know what I'm talking about...

This morning I am going to finish my artist bio. REALLY! I know I've been saying it all along - but I'm going to go out into the world and do it. I think there are too many distractions here in the apartment (ie television and internet - and television on the internet)...

I went to bed last night before 9:00. I was worn out... it's going to be brisk today - perfect for a walk after I get all my tasks done. So I better get moving.

Dial up... my old friend.

This morning I am having problems with my wifi connection so I am coming to you vial the old dial up way...

I went to the Chiropractor this morning and I am feeling better... now if I could just get a tummy tuck and thinner thighs things would be hunky-dory.

Yesterday I talked to Karolina for the first time since I've been back in Seattle. I sure do miss her. You don't usually realize what you've had until it's gone... and I sure do miss her being around all the time to calm me down (I have a tendency to get stressed out if you haven't noticed). If I could afford it I would take a trip to Chicago to see my friends... maybe when I'm a rich and famous artist I will...

Thank you Karolina...

I am posting this from her computer pre egg-dyeing party.

I'll let you know how it goes. It should be fun, watch out Martha Stewart.

No plans for Easter - maybe I should go to church and sing my favorite hymn... Christ the Lord is Risen Today.

Maybe I'll go for a nice Easter run... maybe I'll go out for a nice cinnamon roll.
