My dogs are barking...

It has been a long day and I'm ready to go to bed, unfortunately my next door neighbor Azzi is having a party and I don't think it's going to be quiet anytime soon. I guess I can always put in my earplugs. I'm hoping that tomorrow morning's weigh in goes well, it should because I've been on plan all week and I haven't had any major slip ups. I'll check back in tomorrow and let y'all know what happened.

Thursday Morning Off!

Good morning! Today I have class but I don't have to be there until 2pm. So I am taking the morning off (okay not really off... but I'm sitting here drinking a lot of coffee!).
Yesterday I bought more apricots and ate them all (about a cup Michael), and my tummy is taking it better than last time.

Last night I went back to all of my old Weigh Watchers record books and recorded them into an Excel spreadsheet that my friend Bill made for me a long time ago so that I can track my weight. I've been pooping around long enough, I've been good the past few weeks, but sometimes it's hard - I just want to eat crap all the time.

The weather is supposed to be nice today so maybe I'll walk outside and get some exercise... Oh, here's another thing, my newspaper wasn't delivered this morning again (two weeks in a row!). Since I only get it on Thursday, Friday and Sunday maybe the delivery person gets confused.

Oh yeah, and another thing a new episode of The Office again tonight. Last night on Lost it was pretty interesting... I like it a lot - it reminds me of the x-files... Okay, they're talking about coffee on the Today show, so I need to go. I have to also work on some homework... ciao.

New Job, Old Friends!

Well I finally got a job yesterday! Thank you Jesus! It's giving tours to prospective students... And then... I ran into my friend Ben this afternoon at the MCA. We were undergrads at the University of Washington together. I've been here over six months and I hadn't seen him. I'm glad I ran into him and his lovely girlfriend Alisa. We're (he and I and our friend Rachael) are going to have lunch in the next few weeks. I can't wait!

It's turning out to be a good week so far!

This is a picture of the Weber Grill Restaurant on State Street. I love meat! Hopefully my sister Hilary and I will go there when she comes to visit me for my birthday!

Words to the wise...

First off, Happy Saturday! Next, one word of caution, never eat a lot of dried apricots if you plan on going anywhere a few hours later. Let's just say I'm feeling a little bit bloated.

Today was busy, first off I went to Weight Watchers and weighed in, I was down .2 pounds. A loss is always good, but I guess I shouldn't have stopped by Fannie Mae yesterday and gotten free samples. Oh well, this week there will be no free samples for me. Just 4.2 pounds to go until I reach my goal.

After my meeting I went to the Ashland Swap-O-Rama (a flea market) and looked around, it was interesting. It reminded me of Porta Portese in Rome, that's an open air market there... a lot of people selling things and foreign languages being spoken...

After that I came back up north and splurged on a latte at Starbucks, I've come to realize that I don't really like them anymore so I might as well stick to americanos. After Starbucks I went to DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse) and then Marshalls. When I got home I found that my mother had sent me my bank statement so I balanced my checkbook, I had only forgotten to write down one thing and I balanced on the second try.

I then went to the Library and updated all of my podcast downloads and bought last weeks episode of Lost. I was out with friends so I didn't get to watch it. It was good! I watched it when I got home.

Finally I fixed a dinner of tortilla soup and a warm spinach salad with red peppers. Now I am digesting and watching Cops.

I guess that's it for now. I posted another picture on Repurpose this! I've been working on my installation in my studio. Now if I could only figure out how to use Photoshop and my laptop effectively.

Have a good evening!

No Debt Collector... no love...

I don't really know what that means except for the fact that the Collection Agency was looking for someone whose name sounded like mine but it wasn't me. I've been a bit blue today, tomorrow, I am going out with friends so maybe I'll feel better.

I guess I can't expect myself to feel fabulous 7 days a week. Maybe I'll take a bath tonight and finish my book that I've been working on for the past year...

I bought an artichoke last night and I'm going to cook it and eat it tonight. I might even dip some of it in mayonnaise!!! I'll count the points though. I still have 13 left today and that's a lot of food.

Well, I guess I'll go - ciao for now...

Debt collectors and doctor bills....

Today I got home and found a message on my answering machines from a collection agency. I googled them on the internet and there were only bad things said about this place... I really don't want to call them back because I know I don't have any debt (those of you who know me will attest to that fact.). I don't want to open up a can of worms.

I also got a Doctor bill for my dermatologist visit, there goes another $159.30 down the drain. At least
I guess that's it, I should be happy... I'm really close to my WW goal and I've been doing a good job in tracking my points. Maybe then I'll get to work for them.

I guess I'm leaving now... I have to eat.

Thank You Jesus!

Washington is going to the Sweet 16! Okay, I guess I now have to arrange my schedule to watch the next game... yowza. I'm baking asparagus as I type... it smells kind of good. I guess that's it for now. Have a good evening.

Good Morning at WW!

I lost 2.6 pounds this week. Washington should win.... I'm waiting, 12 seconds...time out called again... I think I'm going to pee my pants.

Washington in the sweet 16???

I'm sitting here and there's only 15 seconds on the clock.... will we go to the sweet sixteen? I guess I am a big sports fan... sort of. I'll post once we win!

Toxic Spills, Brangelina Married?? What next?

I'm sitting here waiting to download my free trial of adobe photoshop and I'm getting bored. There was a spill in the Sharp Building today and the fumes were so bad that they made everyone leave, so my appointment to talk about a job was postponed. Oh well, I guess there's always next week.

Rumor has it that Brad and Angelina are going to tie the knot. Hmmm... I don't know what to say about that.

Tonight I am going to color my hair. It's about time I do something to it. I'm looking old.

That's it for now... maybe I'll find some cute drunk guy to hit on... hahaha.

A new episode of The Office!

Tonight is my favorite day of the week for television viewing. Since Survivor was on last night I can watch Will and Grace tonight and then it's a snoozer til 9:30 and The Office. I think that's my favorite show because I used to work in an office and those sorts of things and people do exist.

Then there is a new episode of ER. Today I have class all day and then a lecture of a potential Fibers faculty candidate. I'm going to have to do laundry tonight as well because I'm running out of underwear.

Lillian on the Mountain.

This is a picture of my friend Lillian. She is sitting on top of a Mountain in Capetown South Africa. I have known her since she was a wee little girl. (She'll probably hit me for saying that...). She's a groovy girl.

Yesterday I was contacted by Graduate Admissions to see if I would be interested in working for them giving tours to prospective graduate students. I think that would be excellent and it would look good on a resume! Then maybe I could even afford cable someday! Okay, maybe not... but maybe I could afford to go out to dinner.

I slept in until 8am this morning. That is unusual for me. I guess I needed to sleep.

Well, I have better get off my butt and back to work.

I love Kashi Go Lean Blueberry Waffles.

I had them for breakfast and now I am watching the today show with my coffee on the window sill and my computer on my lap.

Today I am going to the studio and then a lecture of a Fibers Faculty candidate at noon. It's supposed to be cold and windy today, so much for the beautiful weather of the past few days. I guess I should feel good that it never really got too cold here this winter. Soon enough it will be sweltering and I'll be wishing for snow.

Well, if I think of anything more interesting to write I will.

Only 39 days until my Birthday!

A new portrait of me.

This is a portrait that my friend Sam painted of me. I kind of like it, I look skinny. He is doing a series of 10 minute portraits, he only spends that amount of time on each one.

Sunday Morning.

I didn't sleep well last night, I kept waking up; maybe I was too hot. My body aches too much, I'm thinking I should go take a long walk along the lake today and work the old muscles out. Hopefully it will stay nice (the weather).

My newspaper wasn't delivered this morning either... hopefully things will get better. I was looking on craigslist and happened to see a boys peepee. I flagged it.

Well I guess I'll go for now.

Today was beautiful!

Today was one of the best days I've had here... I walked a lot, it was 65 degrees and sunny. Squirrels were playing in the park, as were dogs and kids.

I found Stanley's fruit stand and I purchased asparagus, spinach, lettuce, red and green pepper, broccoli, tomatoes and an apple from Washington State all for $5.05. I am soooo happy!

When I got home there was a letter from my dog Tucker in the mail as well as a letter informing me that I didn't get the job at the law firm at which I interviewed. That's just fine with me. Hopefully the Weight Watchers thing will work out, I think I would like to do that more anyway.

I am pooped too. It has been very busy. One nice thing is that my friend Julie had people over to her studio to read yesterday and I actually got to read some more of my John Irving novel which I've been working on for almost a year.

Okay, I have to make something for dinner.. talk to you later.

I called it.

Crash won for best picture... I must say I was underwhelmed with the telecast. Oh well, I guess if I had seen more movies it might have been more interesting to me.

On the job front I talked to the lady from Weight Watchers today and it looks promising. I could make $14.00 an hour just taking peoples money!!! Well, I'd have to work too, but it sound interesting. This should keep me on plan.

Tonight I am going to adorn more pushpins with rhinestones and watch how I met your mother. I like that show.

I submitted my TA application for next year, hopefully something will pan out because I really want to get Teaching experience... but I was told it isn't if you TA that will get you jobs, it's the quality of your work.

With that said I better get going... as June carter cash sings.... times a wastin'!

It's Oscar Night!

I'm getting ready to sit down and watch watch watch!!! I like Crash for best picture and that's about it... I saw Brokeback Mountain which I liked, but Crash was more memorable.

Have a good night.

My tummy is full!

I got home this evening to discover that my sister sent me three bags of Tim's Cascade Potato chips, One bag wasabi, and two dill pickle.

I had to eat a few of the wasabi, then I made myself a grilled cheddar cheese and prosciutto sandwich, it was really yummy! I also had some soup that I made the other day. Now I am really full.

I have to weigh in tomorrow at Weight Watchers and I think I will be up some, I've eaten far too much crap this week. I was thinking last night that I have no problem not drinking, but I can't do the not eating thing. I guess there's something to think about in that...

Well, I better get back to Ghost Whisperer and working on my homework...

Thursday, March 02, 2006

ARRGHHH!

I have too much to do... sort of. I'm feeling a bit behind the eight ball... I've always been on top of things but now I'm not. I know that's a vague statement but I'll expand more later.

Ann Curry is cutting her hair this morning....

Since I've been here in Chicago I have been forgoing cutting my hair for monetary reasons. I've had this goal of growing out my hair as long as Ann Curry's. Now what am I going to do? I guess I'll just have to keep growing it until it gets as long as hers is right now and then cut it when it gets to that length.

Maybe I'll just get drunk one night and get out my scissors... nah.

Have a good Wednesday.
