National Doughnut Day

So here we go, trying to make money on the blog... since it's National Doughnut Day I thought I would add a link to a doughnut pan!  Who wouldn't like to make doughnuts at home?

Oh I think that's about all I can must in the promo department...

This morning my ankle is feeling a bit better... still not 100 percent.  I may call the doctor today if it doesn't feel better...  I bought a brace for it yesterday and wore it last night.  I managed to only wake up a few times... once because the brace was too tight and a few more times because of the cat...

Tonight I am moving back to the house... I think the puppies will enjoy that...  I think I will too... although I do enjoy being on my own.

Yesterday I ordered a Deb Sokolow limited edition glass from the benefit for Three-Walls.  Three-Walls is a gallery in Chicago with a residency program... if I ever get my act together I will apply for a residency there... and as you know (or you should know) Deb is one of my friends from Chicago.  She recently had a piece up in the MCA and I own a few of her books.  I have more pieces of work by her than I do anyone else...  here is a link to her website

What else do I know about????

Not much....  I guess I should go.  I have to pick up doughnuts before work and I have to be there at 8 to let the phone people in...

Later gators!

New Favorite Artist...

This is my friend Chris Lin's work.. It's made out of cardboard etc... there's also background music that goes with it.

He sent me some more pictures - I'll post them later because it takes a long time in dial up world.

Okay, now for Chicago. I had a really good time and I miss my friends a lot. Not enough to make me want to move back but you know...

I got to see most of the people I wanted to, I bought some art (Deb Sokolow's zines), some of my favorite coffee... some new clothes... what more could a girl ask for???

Also, when I was waiting in the airport in Chicago I realized I was sitting across from Jason, the guy I had coffee with over the summer... on the plane I anonymously bought him one of my favorite beers (Alaskan Amber)... He caught up with me at baggage claim to say thank you...

I've decided that I like doing nice things for people... at O'hare I gave some guy my CTA pass which was good through Thursday... I gave some guy on the street four dollars... (I do not like to give my money away...).. it feels good to do nice things for people

Okay, it's time for me to get ready for work... talk to you all later.

Small bladder, big heart...

Yesterday while I was doing portfolio reviews I went to the bathroom seven times over the course of the four hours. It's a curse (or a blessing... half empty, half full...) to have to go all the time. But when you drink all the water I do it's a necessity.

Okay, onto a different subject.

I've been eating poorly lately. I made cookies to take to the show today and ended up eating half of them before they were done cooking. That's one thing I miss about not being in Seattle. All my ww friends... it's just not quite the same here. They would be getting me back on track.

Last night we went out to dinner and I had filet mignon.. it wasn't quite as good as what I used to get a Jewel and then cook up on the Foreman but it was okay. I didn't have to pay for it - that was the best part of all. That and seeing my freinds Nate and Deb.

I will post more later... I have to work on I Heart Ann my sign was next to Tyra Banks head this morning...
