It's too early to be awake!

It's a stinking holiday! Why am I awake at 5:54am? I should still be sleeping.

I figure since it is a holiday I can take a nap this afternoon sometime.

Maybe I'll just head over to the studio early this morning.

Yesterday I got the okay from my dad to do the piece about him. Not that I really needed permission but I thought it was wise to ask.

Okay, let's see - what can I say... I really really really wish I could go on a nice vacation somewhere... Italy, Hawaii, Spain??? I want to go somewhere! I want to bask in the sun and drink low cal froofy drinks and work on my tan.

This afternoon I am going to walk around Madison Park and look at the stores... see if something catches my fancy to propose artwork for a window.

My friend Shirley says I should make artwork about bras. She says since I have this obsession with undergarments I should do something about it... I was thinking maybe I should organize an event in conjunction with Nordstrom where we take women with ill-fitting undergarments and organize a fitting party... maybe we could get a discount on bras and there could be appetizers and drinks... I could post before and after photos on a blog... hmmmm... what do you all think?

I took a bunch of photos yesterday for a postcard... I don't particularly like them.. I like these older ones I took even though the finished piece will look like the first photo rather than this...



Okay, I guess that's it for this morning... I could write more but I might lose some of you readers out there... Maybe I should get up and move.

It's the same wherever you go.

I have come to realize (not just recently) that there are those certain office "types" in all offices. The brown-noser, the tattletale, the victim and the numskull. There are more types out there... I think I'm a cross between a brown-noser and a "good girl" - if only they knew... It's surprising how some people get so worked up about things in the office... they just need to chill out. I've come to realize that it is not my life and I can pretty much leave it at work. It's fun to watch how all the roles play themselves out.

I ended up going out for drinks after work with a few of my co-workers.... we went to Ruth Chris Steak House. It's hard to be a beer girl in a martini world...

When I got home I was a vegetable until 8:30 and then I went to bed. What an exciting life I lead.

Today I'm going to torture myself with cycling and grant writing. How fun is that?

Stuff and things part 26

I find that living the life of an artist is catching up with me. I could use a vacation. Maybe I can get married on the Today show and be sent somewhere...

Last night I ended up going to bed before 9:30... I was tired. Tonight is the premiere of the Office... the whole cast wasn't at the Today show today but Ed Helms was (Andy)... I'll update I heart Ann later with all the details...

I'm off to the studio now to drop off things and see James... he flew in from Tuscon.. boy are his arms tired!

Good news, bad news...

the bad news is that I've woken up with a killer headache. The good news is that my favorite show starts tomorrow (okay, one of my favorite shows...)

The Office begins it's season. I am going to be making a special sign for my trip to the Today show tomorrow and wear my Office t-shirt. I think last season I posted about how much I like it. Now if I can just stay up for it.

Back to the headache. It one of those that is stuck in the back of your head behind the ears. My neck is a bit stiff as well. I took four ibuprofen so hopefully it should go away. It woke me up a few times during the night.

Well, since I got up early maybe I'll try to get an early start and a better place at the Today show.

So I got to the Today show a little late and I didn't make it on camera... actually there were only a few people watching (it's stinking cold...). but I managed to get a few shots of Ann and the gang. the first shot is of the gang playing poker and the the other is of Matt Lauer eating some of the food leftover from the cooking segment on the Chinese New Year.

After standing around for about 45 minutes I was too cold to stay outside so I went to the NBC Experience store where I bought memorabilia from the Today show and The Office.

Okay so I accidentally posted this to my Horizontal blog but that's okay... I'm so happy I'll post it twice.

A ray of sunshine in my life...

Besides Stinky the fact that there will be a new episode of the Office on tonight is making my world a little better . Phyllis is getting married. I would have enjoyed last weeks episode better if my tooth hadn't been killing me. I do recall there was a Benjamin Franklin impersonator who was thought to be a stripper.

I'm hoping that today I will get some work done on my paper and maybe do some grocery shopping.

I'm thinking about going to the Today show while I'm in New York. I would LOVE to meet Anne Curry. I have to figure out what sort of thing I should do to get their attention... I don't want to look like a stalker.
