ouch

Yesterday I decided to roll around on my exercise ball. Now my back/shoulder hurts. That's what I get for becoming physically active.

Today I need to clean, exercise and then I'm supposed to be going to a movie this afternoon. I think we're going to see No Country for Old Men (at least that's what I'm rooting for). I'd also like to see There Will be Blood as well.

I didn't get a lot done with my application yesterday - I got into one of my moods and then it all went out the window. Hopefully today will be better.

tomorrow night I have a Crawl Space meeting... it's going to be my first one so it should be fun. I also start my new job on Wednesday - it should be a good week.

Last Friday my lovely assistant Kristen and I went to Red Robin after work - she'd had a bad day. I'm always up for nursing a bad day with some buffalo style clucks and fries (not to mention beer). I'm sure it's not doing anything for my healthy eating plan though.

I have got to suck it up soon and get a faster internet connection speed...

Have a good Sunday and I'll see you later (or tomorrow).

Updates

Finally, I received my paycheck from ww yesterday. Just in time I guess, only three months late.

I've woken up with a pain in my shoulder blade (It sucks getting old). I suppose I should make an appointment to see my favorite chiropractor before I go off on my big adventure.

Here's one thing I hate (besides bitchy girls and whiny men) - when you get locked out of your online banking because you have one of those bad typing moments. I was having one of those such moments yesterday and now I can't login to see what's going on with my account. It's making me cranky. I had to open a new account with another bank because my real bank doesn't have branches in New York. They are transferring money from my old account to set up this new one.. I have to keep track of the minuscule deposits they put in my old account and record them with my new bank to verify my account (did that make sense)? Now when I try to login to my existing bank account I keep getting an account alert emailed to me. It's making me cranky. I know they are just trying to protect me from online fraud - but in this case they are trying to protect me from myself. errrrr.

Hey, that was a pretty good rant. Not like some that I'm sure I'll come up with in New York... but it's a start. I was tracking my visitors yesterday (yes, you're being watched) and followed a link to an old post of mine. I seemed to be much more interesting in 2006. I think I'll try to strive to that old standard in the weeks to come.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...

my body is killing me. That slip and slide wrecked me. As usual it's the left hip and right shoulder... it's gotten to the point where it's waking me up at night. I also made a mistake and my chiropractic appointment isn't until tomorrow.

Sooo... on the dating front, I responded to some of my emails on the new site. I seem to attract very old men.. which is not necessarily a bad thing but... these are creepy old men. There was an average sort of fella who works on transmissions in Bellevue... maybe I should email him back. The problem is I don't know how to date... I'm pathetic in that sense.

Last night as I was channel surfing I came across the show on TLC called Big Medicine - it's about weight loss surgery. They were talking about a patient of theirs who looked terrific but still thought of herself as a buddy with guys because that's what she had always been. Now, when she was rejected she didn't have the weight to blame it on anymore and dating was becoming an issue. I hope that made sense as I explained it... to get to my point (and I do have one) I can totally relate to her thinking... I was large for so long it was a buffer... I still think of myself as the fat girl even though physically I'm not. I definitely think better of myself but it's been slow going even to get to this point.

Here is a picture of Julie and me (myself??) taken the night before I left Chicago (for those of you underage readers - yes, I was a little bit tipsy but I walked home and didn't drink irresponsibly)... that was one of my best nights in recent memory... I'm working on making other good memories it's just taking a bit....

Well, I better be off. I'm going to exercise with my friend Melinda today... the official weight when I got on the scale this morning was 147.5 (yikes)... I've just got to do what I need to do to get back down to where I need to be. I've been doing the emotional eating hard core for the last few weeks and it's time to stop.

What now?

I'm having a weird day. I feel the pangs of lonliness creeping in again. It will pass as it always does.

Last week I had a little incident on the home made slip and slide at camp. My body still hasn't recovered.... good thing I'm visiting the chiropractor on Tuesday.

My head hurts... I think I'll go to bed soon.
