Hello Hotdogs!

Last night it was too nice to go to the gym so I decided to stay home, light up the barbie and take some photos...

I feel a little bad about not going to the gym, but it was too nice. The sun was out, birds were singing, kids playing... you know if this keeps up I'll have to be subjected to all that warm weather bad fashion that I love so much.

I got a response from the ActiveSpace people and I'm going to look at spaces next Monday. I'm pretty excited about it... I'm not excited about spending more money, but I do think it will be good for me to have a place to work.

I went to the dentist yesterday and have a beautiful temporary silver crown - it woke me up at 3 am though... I hope hope hope hope hope it doesn't get to the point where I need a root canal. I can't afford it!

Okay, one more thing. I've been asked to house sit again so that's good. It's for the "cats" you remember Sammy (the one on the roof) and Emma. It pays well - I'll be able to pay for my crown!

I think that's it this morning... I wish I could stay here but I can't. Must go to work.

In case you were wondering...

yes, I got Sammy down this morning. I climbed up on the roof with a board (did I leave it up there??? - probably) and tried to get him to walk across it but he wouldn't. After a few minutes of coaxing I opened up a can of food and he started walking towards me on the teeniest branch... I leaned in enough to grab his collar and it snapped off. I kept thinking either the cat or I was going to fall to our death... I grabbed for the scruff of his neck once more and I'm not exactly sure If I grabbed it, or just his neck but I managed to get him out of the tree. I had brought up a pillow case to put him in for the ride down the ladder... I don't think my knees have ever shook as much as they did on the way down.

He doesn't seem to be in too bad of shape, just some pitch on his fur and some cat diarrhea. I know, you wanted to know that part... I think I'll keep an eye on him and possibly call the vet if he seems to be feeling poorly. He seems to be in good spirits though for spending two nights outside... all I know is that I'm looking forward to sleeping like a log tonight.

No sleep, no cat.

Sammy kept crying and crying... I told him when I finally woke up this morning (for the 15th time) that I would be back out as soon as it was light. If it wasn't so stinking high up in the tree and on a slope I might have had more luck yesterday. I'm going to be late for work, but the cat is more important. If I don't manage to get him down I'm going to call a professional arboreal cat rescuer to come and get him down.

The only positive outcome of this situation is that I haven't really wanted to eat.

I feel like throwing up.

Dial up this!

I got home yesterday and found out that where I am house sitting is without wifi. I managed to wrangle up a phone cord so I can come to you in slow motion.

Did you hear the latest news??? Katie Couric may be leaving CBS News. ha ha ha... she's just a bit too perky for me. Not at all like Ann... I'm not saying that Ann is NOT perky - she can be perky if need be.... I've missed watching the Today show... If I didn't have to be at work so early I could watch the first half hour... when I'm a rich and famous artist I won't have to work and I can watch it every day!

Last night I locked the cats out of my room. I made it until 4:30 before I heard the scratching on the door. I think it also helped that I gave them a little bit of food before we went to bed... that's the secret - keep the belly's full. It works with everyone.

Well (that's a deep subject)... I guess that's it. Be safe out there!

ARRRRRR!

That cat is going to drive me crazy. I'm ready to go back home with my little Stinky...

Last night I came home and the house alarm was chiming. It has a low battery... I finally figured out how to turn it off (temporarily)... when I went to feed Cookie I found that she had barfed all over the carpet... good thing there is a carpet cleaner at her house. I did manage to get over to see my dog. She was very happy to see me. I could tell that she was laughing... (I saw a story about dogs laughing on television the other night).

As of ten minutes ago my life has been officially sucked dry of any meaning... okay, I overexaggerate.

I think it's just the need for me to make "things" that is calling me - and I haven't done that in a while. I need to make some time to that. Work seems to creeping in a bit too much.

3:00 a.m.

It was at 3 this morning that I woke up this morning and dumped Emma the cat on the floor (accidentally). She had been sleeping next to my legs and was just too close to the edge when I decided to roll over... heh heh heh.

Only two more weeks until my birthday. Yay... I like my birthday... I wore my birthday shoes yesterday and they are fabulous! I did have to wrap portions of my feet in moleskin to keep down the friction. Now that's an interesting word... friction.

This week I don't have a lot to do which will be nice. I have a studio visit and proposal review at Crawl Space, I have to work, and I need to get together info on what's been happening in my life for the thing in my life that I can't really talk about. That's about it. I will be done feeding the other cat Cookie on Wednesday. It will be nice to not have to drive all over the place every night.

The big question today is weather or not I'm a fraud. What do you think?

Dogs rule! Cats drool...

So I've been house and cat sitting for the past few weeks and the kitty cats are very sweet but Emma (one of the cats) keeps trying to wake me up at 4:30. She'll jump up on top of me and meow... when I make her get off me she'll walk around with her little collar jangling and then jump back up on me.

I love stinky because she doesn't do that sort of thing.

It's raining this morning... I am not looking forward to waking up to the bus stop through the woods in the backyard... the good news is that I'm going to wear my new shoes today so that should make me feel good!

I went to the mall yesterday (no I didn't go to the gym) and I was looking at things I might like for my birthday... I found a pair a flip flops that are supposed to tone your legs as you wear them. I could use those... the legs are a bit jelly like lately.

In addition to going to the mall I stopped by Carkeek Park and walked along the beach. It was strange because I hadn't been there in a long time. I had a flashback of playing a rousing game of tag there when I was back in high school. I seem to recall I was with a bunch of my cheerleader friends (yes, I was a cheerleader...). It's funny how seeing and hearing things will bring back memories like that. It's too bad people don't play rousing games of tag everyday - I think it would be good exercise... it might put everyone in a better mood.

I suppose that's all I have to say this morning. I need to start making work again... the lack of making things is getting to me... since I have a show in September I should probably start thinking about what I'm going to put up... I know it's going to be Ann Curry related stuff...

Crazy Cats... and a big belly...

This sums up my evening.

Hopefully I will stay awake long enough to finish this post.

Long day at work... I hate filing.

I ate too many cookies... I have a big belly.

Cat's are on drugs... I love dogs.

I'm a fraud - at least for today.

I made Diana touch the back of my hair... maybe I shouldn't do that until I know people better. I'm a freak.

I had a great idea for a birthday present but it didn't work out... I'll explain later but I think I'm starting to fade fast.
