Long weekend leads to a long week (again)...

We have come to the end of another weekend.... and now it starts all over again... we're going to be down one more person again this week so I'm going to be hopping! Oh well... I guess it's better to be too busy than not busy at all.

My meeting this morning went well... I was going to try to sleep in until 6:30 but it didn't happen... I was up bright and early at 5:30...

Class went well - Arms told me that I made his heart beat faster... I think he was humoring me....

The unnamed big brother clothing party went well too! I managed to purchase 7 new items for half price! I saved over 300 bucks. (not that I should be spending it in the first place, but you know...). I'll see if I can find some photos of what I've ordered for you...

The one thing I did learn today is that I don't look good in Patchwork anything... I also learned not to ridicule anyone who has read the Secret...

Guess what I just did??? I just set down a plate with some nachos still left on it! I will most ikely eat the rest... but just that fact that I put them down is an accomplishment...

Tonight I am going to try to stay up to watch undercover boss... I will stay vertical so I don't fall asleep...

I think that is it for this exciting weekend! Just think - Tomorrow it will be March.

It turns out that there's too much to do today. Skyping, teaching, cleaning, cooking, clothes party hosting...

I managed to stay up until 9:30 last night - I managed to eat a bunch of cookies too.... and absolutely no vegetables or fruit (how did that happen?)...

I am getting incredibly distracted... maybe I should try this later.... my tummy is feeling a bit funky (lack of veggies I think)....

Arms is going to be in my cycle class... I may have to do something about this little wing I've got going on in my hair this morning...

Complaint number 548

I have two credit cards. One is my school employee credit union card and the other is my Alaska Airlines Visa.

I love getting my miles for purchases I make... but I hate the fact that I can't access my account online unless I have a Bank Account with Bank of America. I can't even pay my bill by phone without incurring a 15 dollar fee.

It just gets my shorts in a bunch...

okay, onto other things.... It's only 6:20 and I'm ready to go to bed. What a life I lead - wanting to go to bed at 6:30 on a Saturday night...

My hair looks just fine... what else??? I bought food for tomorrow's party... I think I will have a better turnout than last time... it will be fun. A few people that take my cycle class are planning on coming. Groovy.

Tomorrow morning I am going to skype... I'm not sure how to do it - but I'm sure I'll figure out how to do it.

Oh, here's another thing... one of the Community Colleges is hiring a full time art professor (is that what they are called in community colleges???)... I know one of the deans and she told me to keep my eye out for the posting. and to work on my cover letter Woot woot...

One more thing to add to my list...

A busy week leads to a busy weekend.

I've got the usual going on... ww, gym, hair appointment - then I have to figure out what I'm doing food-wise for my Big-brother clothing party tomorrow. I'd like to go to the studio but I don't know if there will be time. I have to clean up around here before I can let anyone in...

I am feeling pretty rested this morning and I think I will survive. This week was one of those that you know you can get through, it just takes a long time. It sort of reminded me of a few of the weeks I had at the end of Grad School... busy with everything and not a lot of time to breathe.

I think I will hit the road now...

I made it.

Friday evening has arrived and I've survived...

I got to leave work early so I hit the gym and took a pilates class. It was a nice change... some ladies who take my cycle class said hi to me as I came in but they didn't realize it was me until I started talking about being so stiff from cycling... I guess I was out of context. They told me they liked my class... it's nice to be liked...

Tonight I'm going to find out what not to wear and then I'm going to go to bed.

Friday - yes, finally.. it's here.

I am completely wiped out... Work was incredibly busy... today won't be much better...

The good news is that it's payday... and it IS Friday...

I feel like these weeks posts have all been the same. Me being tired...

Last night I skipped the gym and went shopping for matching mugs for work. We have a big meeting and we need things to match... I also have to stop and get bagels on the way - so I can't stay too long.

No happy hour for me tonight - we had to reschedule... I am going to lunch with people though... if work isn't too busy.

I need an overhaul...

I managed to find a few...

Last night I was rummaging around Fred Meyer after working out and I looked in the marked down Valentine's Day candy and there they were..... old style candy conversation hearts! Just a small bag but that's all that I needed... a twelve cent bag of candy...

I am sure I've seen more leftovers of the new and "improved" hearts in the markdown bin... they are just nasty. The bag I found was put out by a different company - I think I may have to do some internet research and see if the make them still... They probably bought them from Necco and re-packaged them for resale...

Okay onto other news...

What other news is there??? I am ready for the weekend... I have a hair appointment, I am going to happy hour tomorrow with my lovely assistant Kristen and my friend Karen and then I'm having that clothing party.... I'm sure there's more I'm not thinking about right now because it is early...

Yesterday I downloaded skype so I can do internet calling.... Jen and I have a conference call set up for Sunday morning to plan our world domination...

I think that's all I have for you this morning...

so stinking tired....

I think I should go to bed... my brain is full - my schedule is full.... even if I did manage to find a nice boy I wouldn't have any time to spend with him - so there....

I know it's only Wednesday but it feels like it should be Friday. There is just too much going on.

My brain is full and I don't think there is room for more...

The other Jen Towner and I have been discussing our future... it looks promising I think. I have just successfully downloaded skype so that we can have a conference call to discuss our world domination.

Why am I looking forward to the weekend? It's not like I'm going to be able to slow down then... I might be able to rest Saturday afternoon - but only for a bit...

I should get back to figuring out how to skype... and I need more coffee...

Is it really only Tuesday?

I had a busy day yesterday...

I ended up subbing for cycle class last night... there were only five people in class but it was a good one I think.... I sweated a lot!

A friend of mine is trying to get funding for an open source loom... she only gets funding if she reaches 60,000 dollars by May.... check out the video... it's a good thing to do.

Another Monday

It's National Margarita Day. Too bad I don't drink tequila anymore.

I am sore once again this morning... My arm is stiff - I think I may have to call my favorite chiropractor and see what he can do to help me.

I have to figure out what's on the agenda this week... I know I have some hair appointments - I have to buy a bus pass - I have to pay bills....

At least it's not snowing here...

Can I go to bed yet?

It's only 7pm.... I'm ready to go to bed but I have to watch Undercover Boss...

I spent about four hours in the studio... once again I didn't get too much stuff done but I did manage to get a mini fridge in there so I can be happy - all I need now is cable tv in there...

I watched more episodes of Art 21. I find in watching them I'm not as crazy as I think I am sometimes... I watched interviews with Andrea Zittel, Mathew Barney and Mel Chin to name a few.

I guess I will get back to Celebrity Fit Club...

Ouch.

Do you ever have one of those days that goes on and on and on forever and forever and forever... I had one of those yesterday....it didn't go on in a bad way though.

I went to ww and was up another two pounds (ouch)... I have two weeks to get down five (no problem)...

I skipped the gym because my friend Melinda was waiting for us all at coffee after the meeting so I had to catch up with her...

Next, I had my massage - my arm/shoulder is really sore now but I think it feels better than it would normally be.

After the massage I went to the clothing party... I tried on so many stinking clothes and ended up buying three things.

Finally I made my way home and sat for about an hour and then went to dinner and a movie... I saw Crazy Heart... it's pretty good. I give it four stars...

That's it... this morning I have to teach - I hope my body can take it.

Maybe I'll have a Mr. Arms sighting... haven't had one of those in a few weeks.

Later I plan on going to the studio and working (on what I'm not sure....)... I just need to go.

I should take some more photos... I like having photos on the blog... I just have to dig my camera out of my purse....

I got some press on Another Bouncing Ball (Regina Hackett's Blog) for the Seatlle bARTer... it turns out that the IRS taxes bartering... a good idea and the man wants to get their share...

I don't have a bunch of time this morning becasue I've been attending to my new bartering ways...

So, this morning - ww, gym, massage (my arm is killing me...) clothing party and then maybe a field trip to Georgetown...

I'm not looking forward to the scale... I've had issues this week.

Oh, the other Jen Towner is trying to set me up long distance... you never know...

I can almost see the weekend around the corner...

Lots to report this morning.... first things first (I sound like Jeff Probst here)...

I am friends on Facebook now with Jen Towner. Every once in a while (like every day) I Google my name and I always see her and some other Jennifer Towner who is a Real Estate agent in Colorado... she seems pretty nice. She was was let go of her Deejay job in December... just like Marty and Jody (how sad)...

Next - I am thinking about starting a Bartering network for Artists in Seattle... A place where artists can exchange things or services they can offer for those they don't (did that make sense?). For example - I am looking for a place where I can burn a silk screen for cheap - I would post this on the site and in exchange for someone helping me I would give them my gallon jug of gesso... I don't know how it would all work out but I think it's a good idea...

Next - I skipped the gym last night and went to the studio again...

Next - I'm thinking about going back to Chicago for Art Chicago and the Next Art Fair... I have a lot of miles so I think I would swing it...

Next - I'm going to one of those parties tomorrow of which I can not speak (it's a clothing thing...). Yesterday I saw a woman wearing one of the shirts I own by them... it was cute on her too! I am going to limit myself to one item to purchase because I have my party next weekend.

Okay, I think that's it... I need to peruse my other sites and see what has happened in the last six hours that I wasn't online.

Zumba on the Today Show

I can't move.

Last night I did a Zumba Class last night and I can't really move today... It's an aerobics class based on latin dance... it's sort of fun even though I ended up looking a bit awkward... that's alright. It's a big hit everywhere it goes... It sort of a cult thing... but that's okay too...

I am sitting here trying to type but Zoe is crawling all over me... oh good, now she's settled down...

I have no idea what's happening today... work, work and more work... I think there are openings tonight at Greg Kucera and Lawrimore Project... since I'm back in the art thing maybe I should go to them.... I'll have to investigate...

I'm back in the saddle...

I managed to survive work, although It was rough... it was pretty busy... I also managed to teach without dying...

My arms are very sore from dragging my suitcase all around Chicago on Sunday. It's a good thing that I bought one with four wheels on the bottom.... it's very nice.... I could not have dragged a different suitcase around Chicago.... I think I'm rambling..

Today??? I don't think I have anything planned... I should start running this evening so I can get ready for that half marathon I signed up for...

A new leaf.

I spent over five hours in the studio yesterday... I cleaned up some things - organized a bit... it reminded me of the old days in school. The best part of the whole experience was that I had a free wifi signal so I watched some episodes of Art21 on my laptop... It's nice to be inspired... one of the artists (I'll have to look up his name again) I had just seen a video of his at the Art Institute when I was there....

Last night I went to the gym and suffered through class... my legs are a bit sore today. I guess that's what happens when you take a week off.... the wii fit told me yesterday that I was overweight... I only gained 3.6 pounds in a week.... that's alright, considering that I didn't drink much water or eat any vegetables while I was on vacation....

I head back to work today... I don't really mind... I need some source of income to get my ideas into action... and I love where I work.... if only we could represent artists... hmmm...maybe I'll suggest we start an artist practice...

I'm thinking about going back to Chicago in the end of April for the Chicago Art Open and the Next Art fair... seems like a good idea to me. I'll have to investigate it...

I think I shall get going. I'm importing some video I shot in my studio. It's been sitting on my camera for a while...
