It's 4:50am

I am awake.

Today I shall dress up as a bitter middle-aged woman.

What are you dressing up as?

Blech

I have had one busy 48 hours....

Clothing Party a success!

Apartment Clean!

Work - Busy!

Last night after teaching my 6:30pm class, my boss and I went down to the Downtown club and moved some of their surplus bikes to the Lake City Club.  It made for a really long day, but in the end the members will be happy and therefore I will be happy too.

The only complaint I have is that it was really hard to get up this morning.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention the Hurricane  - Hurricanes suck.  I'm glad wasn't in it, and as far as I can tell I think all my East Coast friends are safe.

I've got nothing.

Nothing but cleaning, fixing food for tomorrow, and laundry.

It's 6:40pm on Saturday night... I really would like to go to bed right now but that means I would be awake at 4am tomorrow. I shall try to stay up at least until 9:00.  No guarantees that I'll make it though.

I sometimes wonder what it would be like to have a more active social life.  I did have a social life back in my 20's and 30's, but then again back then I was drinking like a fish and spending money that I didn't have...  I think I'll take the life of a semi-recluse.  It's not like I don't do anything...

I do a little bit of something.

I was planning on swinging by this afternoon to see my Dad, but I've got too much to do before tomorrow's party.  I think I'll swing by tomorrow morning on my way home from the gym.  That way I can just say hi and let him know I'm not dead...

What else?  My feet are freezing and I"m wearing wool socks and lambswool slippers...  I may have to run them under the hot water faucet in the bathroom in order to warm them up.

This morning I stopped by to see my Stinky...  She seems to be doing pretty well.  The cone isn't bugging her anymore.  She's getting pretty good at resting her nose on her cone.

I think that's it.

Talk to you later.

Friday, Friday, got to get down on Friday...

yes - it's Friday.  You know what that means... LAUNDRY!

I will try to scrounge up enough quarters today to do a load tonight.  I am officially out of pants.

My legs are a little bit like jello from all the working out...

Yesterday I almost had to slap people upside the head at work.  It's been too busy and I have too much to do.  I think I even had a dream about work last night and THAT'S NO GOOD!

I also contemplated yesterday morning that it would be nice to not go into work - as always it was a sign that someone was going to call in sick.  Yep, it happened.

So here we are at Friday...

On board this weekend?  The usual, Weight Watchers, a visit to Dad and then cleaning on Saturday..  Sunday I am having another one of those Big Brother Clothing parties...  I would mention the brand by name, but they have trolls who scour the interwebs and don't like people to talk about it online.. (which is stupid).  Once I mentioned on the blog that I was having a party and they thought I was tarnishing their name... they should know that I am a devout follower of their line and they shouldn't piss me off... they should cater to semi-savvy bloggers who like to look cute.

Dang, just thinking about it makes me want to cancel my party.

But I won't.  Any chance I have to make my world famous cheese ball I will take.

I think that's all I've got today.

Time for more coffee...

Hey There.

Here I am.

Back at the usual spot (on the sofa icing my heels...)...

Drinking Coffee...

Watching the news.

I would be celebrating the fact that I have the day off from teaching but I am going to be subbing one class tonight BUT THEN I'M DONE ('til Sunday that is...).  The only unfortunate part is that I have run out of workout pants and I'm going to have to repeat a pair for tonight's class... oh well.  I'll just have to pick a pair that don't stink.  I'm okay on shirts... so that's a relief...  headbands??? not so much.

Oh well....  I just have to make sure people don't get too close to me at the gym.

What else do I know?  Not much...

Yesterday for Crock Pot Wednesday I made an Indian Lentil Stew from my Weight Watchers cookbook.  It was really good.  The only complaint I have is that the lentils all but disappeared... (broke down)... it still tasted pretty good.

I guess when you mince 8 cloves of garlic, two onions, and cook it for 12 hours anything will taste good...

I guess that's all I have to share with you this morning...  maybe I will break down on the way to work and buy a biscuit at the Wandering Goose.  It's a new restaurant on 15th near the Coastal Kitchen.. they have the worlds best biscuits... I bought some for the office last week.  There was one with Gruyere and Rosemary... it was extra yummy...

and it was sugar free!  I'm still on the no sugar thing this month and it's going well...  I may extend it to November...

Okay, now I'm done.

Except for this link which will tell you the story of Obie the Overweight Doxie.

A group that gave Obie up is trying to get him back from a woman who is taking really good care of him...  we (I mean me) want Obie to Stay where he is.  I know if Stinky or Zoe (my wiener dogs) had a vote they would choose for Obie to stay with his current Momma.

Okay, now I'm done.

THose Dang Amish Kids...

With my abbreviated sleeping schedule I have had to resort to watching Breaking Amish at 6am Tuesday mornings.

Those crazy kids have been moved to New York City and have their lives taped...  let's just say this, being Amish would be hard, being on "reality" television would be hard... nothing is ever "real" on television... unless it's live sports (or the news) .... there's always an element of telling a good story.  People who are offended that a reality is not "real" should just get over it.

In other news...

I have nothing...  well, I'm trying to figure out what to make for dinner tomorrow... it's going to be Crock Pot Wednesday...  I have some lentils... maybe I will have to find a recipe for lentil soup.

I think that's it...

Here's what going on this day.

It's been a busy week...

I think I have caught up on my sleep and will be ready to hit the road running tomorrow morning.

This weekend has been pretty low key...  this evening I am going out to celebrate my Momma's birthday with a burger at Red Robin... ah, and I also get to see my sister, brother-in-law, and niece...

I don't have much to report... I did spend some quality time with the dogs yesterday while I commandeered the washing machine to do my sheets.  Stinky had some surgery on Sunday for an infection - she has a cone of shame on, but it doesn't seem to bother her too much... she looks pretty cute in it.

I don't know much else other than that this morning...

it seems as with all this teaching I'm doing, I shall be posting less and less... but that's alright.  I'm still around... if anything important comes up I will be sure to let you know.

Happy Sunday!

ME MAKE A BLURB BOOK!

Hey Y'all!  I posted along time ago about making an Instagram photo book at blurb.com!  I thought I would go into a little more detail about how quick and easy it was....

First off - Blurb is great because you can make a variety of books for relatively cheap!

If you are a regular reader of my blog you might have seen the square format photos I sometimes post.  These are Instagram photos - Instagram is an app for your phone in which you can take photos and then use filters to give your photos a creative effect.  Well, Blurb.com can take those photos and quickly turn them into a book.

It's really simple.  You log into Blurb.com and give them the login and password to your Instagram account.

AND BAM!

You're probably thinking that you could never do that... BUT YOU CAN!

I sat on my sofa in my pj's and selected the photos I wanted, where I wanted them on the pages and then the title information.

You can choose from various sizes, hardcover, soft cover - the possibilities are limitless.

You don't have to do an Instagram book.  You can upload your own photos and make a nice photo book of your kids for the Grandparents.

There's a link to Blurb just to the right of this post - you can get 15 percent off your first book!

Tell them Jeneratorant sent you!

What we have learned so far this week...

I am sitting here watching the Seahawks play the 49'ers...  I made little guttural noises when Marshawn Lynch was running... I guess I must be a fan..

I have also learned that I can't eat a lot of fatty food anymore...

too much fat = tummy troubles...  I will not go into that any further.

I made pot roast yesterday.  I was good, but  a little on the fatty side... hence the tummy trouble.

I really don't have much more to share... except these photos...

I have a feeling that once I get horizontal on the sofa I might fall asleep pretty quickly...  thank goodness for my DVR!

If I knew teaching twice a day would wipe me out like this....

I am trying to post to the blog via email…

It may or may not work.  We will find out, won’t we?

I have this to report.

I’m tired.

I have pot roast waiting for me at home in the crock pot.

A guy on an online dating site told me that my profile picture was not the most attractive photo of the bunch…

Douche bag.

shhhh! Don't tell anyone I'm posting on the job!

Quick update - I woke up at the crack of dawn and taught the 6am cycle class.

Eight people - that's better than my Tuesday night class!

Got to work early.

Will need to take a nap at lunch.

Yesterday I successfully completed a grant application, watched football, made art, did laundry, and visited my Dad (I actually saw him walk for the first time since January which was cool)...

Oh, someone dented my car bumper again... I don't think I can let this one slide.

Oh well, that's life.

I need more money.

Weekend Update!

The elimination of sweets in my eating plan has resulted in another loss... woot woot.

I am meeting my friend Joanna for lunch today at 1pm...  it should be fun...  then tonight I am working on art and an application for a grant.  It's kind of rainy outside so I don't mind staying in...  I had to crank up the radiator this morning...  no worries.

perhaps I will get off the sofa soon and start getting ready... don't want to be late.

I like puppies.

Good News/Bad News

Well, there really isn't bad news...

I am not having a house guest tonight - things didn't work out, but I am going out to lunch tomorrow with my friend which will be fun.

A few weeks ago I was lamenting the fact that I never go out to brunch with friends or socialize much...  well I can not say that anymore... at least for this weekend.

The rain has finally returned to the PNW...  as has the wearing of my puffy coat.  I've taken the puffy down coat out of the closet and it's all nice and cozy...

I'm not sure if I'll have to break out the rain boots just yet.

Yesterday I didn't do much... however, I did take a couple of photos during lunch near the Pike Place Market... (Post Alley)...  I had to go to the Sound Sports and buy me some new socks for the gym...

anyway, here's the photos...

Nothing to Report this Morning.

ABsolutely Nothing...

I broke out my big puffy coat yesterday.  It's getting cold out there (at least for me it's cold).

Everyone has returned from vacations at work and things are moving along...

At the gym classes are getting full again with the return of the bad weather - that's nice, job security... not that I have to worry too much about job security at the gym.  They love me because I am funny and agreeable and I am humble. (ha).

Tonight I shall tidy up my apartment for my visitor tomorrow (if she decides to come)...  the place isn't too bad, but I'll need to move some of my art-making things out of the way.

That's it.  I guess I did know more than nothing.

Is it time to go to bed yet?

This is my last week before my schedule gets really busy.  I CAN TAKE IT!

What do I know today?

Yesterday I made flight reservations for the College Art Association conference in New York next year.  I had enough frequent flier miles to get a flight to Newark...  that's cool.  Now I just need to save up money for the hotel.  I'm thinking I will get a room at the conference hotel.  In the past I've found places to stay where I can buy food and keep it in my room (in a fridge)...  I don't think this is an option if I stay at the conference hotel.. but I will figure something out.

I think being at the conference will be nice.  I'll be able to keep stuff in my room and not have to trudge things back and forth.

I may have a friend of mine staying with me on Friday night...  she's going to an ex-girlfriends wedding and invited me to come along..  I'm not sure I'll have the energy to go, but I said for sure she could stay over at my place...  It will give me a chance to test out the hide a bed that is/was my dad's former couch... I've never used it.  I think it's better than the futon... I will have to test it out before Friday.

I leave you this morning with a photo I took while waiting for the bus last night...

Another Longish Walk

Yesterday I went with some of my long walk friends on another long walk to Renton.

We started out at Cal Anderson park around 9:15 and made our way to Beacon Hill, over the Chief Sealth trail... to Seward Park, Rainer Ave South all the way to the Renton Municipal Airport to Downtown - JUST TO EAT VEGETARIAN FOOD!

It was fun... I probably would have rather have had a Dick's Deluxe when I was done, but the vegetarian food was good.

The bus ride home was interesting, and I managed to hoof it back from downtown no problem...  Overall I walked 18 plus miles.

It will come in handy when I become a contestant on Survivor.

Here are a few Random photos.  Some of them I stole from other participants...

Post walk dirty feet.....

Flies and Ants

My apartment kitchen has been inundated with flies... not house flies, not fruit flies, but something in between...  I think something was living in my composting pot and it hatched... now I'm in attack mode.  It's not fun, but I think I'm gaining an upper hand.

And the ants... I keep finding them in my bathroom... not a ton, but one or two every day.  Oh the joy of living in an old apartment building.

I don't have many plans tonight - perhaps I'll do laundry... teaching extra classes has taken it's toll on my supply of exercise pants.

Here are some random photos...

this is the house I grew up in which I wound up finding last weekend...

YMCA!

These photos are from the Louis Viton windows in downtown Seattle... influenced by Yayoi Kusama...  I like them

Oh yeah, tonight is first Thursday - maybe I'll go check out the art scene... it would be artistic of me...

That's it.  I have much more coffee to drink this morning.

This is what I know on Tuesday

Yesterday I managed to make it through teaching at 6am and then again at 6:30pm...  I only messed up in one of my drills in the pm class...  (nothing major and we improvised and just made the drill longer)....

In the morning class it was all men - and I actually got a fist bump from one of the guys when class was done...  I think that's a success.  I didn't tell class that I was going to be taking it over starting the 15th, but I think it's a good sign (the fist bump).

I'm going to have to adjust my sleep schedule in order to accommodate the extra classes...  we're discussing making the morning class a little bit later so I can actually take the bus in order to get there in the morning...

So... my teaching schedule will be Sunday morning, Monday and Wednesday 6am and 6:30 pm, and Tuesday 5:30 pm.  Two more classes, but no extra teaching days... I guess I'll just have to go to bed at a reasonable time on Sunday and Tuesday... it shouldn't be much of a problem.

Tonight I don't have to teach because the gym is kicking off the Biggest Loser Contest... that's cool.. I picked up a subbing gig tomorrow night  - I'm teaching the 5pm class and then the 6:30 class...  nothing like burning out the legs.

So that's it...  finally - sweet free October is going alright. I know, it's only the 2nd, but you've got to take it day by day...
