Ummm.

No tooth repair until Wednesday... I slept like a crazy woman last night... that means I slept hard.

This is my peep entry. There were a lot of peeptuplets and the octopeep... I like the diapers.

Today I don't really have anything on the agenda. I have to work... it's payday (yay) and at some point I need to find a new phone as mine is dying.

Maybe today I won't eat my way through the day... maybe I'll say hi to Mr. Arms at the gym tonight... he cycles on Monday and Wednesday at 5:00. Too bad I have to work until 5. Boo Hoo! Maybe I'll manage to make it through the day without crying....

I'm just being dramatic here - I don't cry.

I've made contact!

I finally had a "real" conversation with Mr. Arms today.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it might be... let me try to recall for you what was said.

First, let me set the scene - Mieko's Gym 9:24 a.m.

There I was standing at the drinking fountain that is right near the Men's locker room. I was filling up my water bottle and getting ready for cycle. I looked up and and he walked out of the locker room. I managed to grunt out a "hey" or something that sounded sort of like that and he said hey back (I think).

Flash forward to post cycle - I did manage to stare at his legs quite a bit during class... he was at one of the machines stationed around the cycle area. It was conveniently in the path to the front desk where they keep the sign up book for class. I was already signed up but I figure any chance to walk by him is good... as I made my way to the desk, beads of sweat dripping down my face it happened... he said either one of the two things... "you're tuckered out" or "you look worn out"... I said something like "I always am" (I think that's what I said the last time we sort of spoke...).

I then went to the desk and rifled through the signup notebook and then walked back towards the locker room. I said "why don't you cycle?" He said "I did on Wednesday" (note to self go on Wednesday...)... He then said "when did you start?" I replied "I started back in April". He then said "how many often do you do it" I replied "at least six times a week" He said, "three?" I said "six" (as I held up my fingers - I was sort of walking away...) and he said "you should start teaching" to which I replied "I've been thinking about it...." and then it was over.

It lasted a good 30 seconds... when I walked back out of the locker room I was going to ask what his name was but he was talking to someone else... he's very popular.

Now the "real" communication boundary has been broken... and I can communicate freely. so what if his voice doesn't match his body...

I can die a happy woman.

Shoes, beautiful shoes! and the bacon debacle...

These are my new cycling shoes. I haven't been this excited about a pair of shoes since I got my tennis shoe roller skates back in the 70's

In that second photo you will see Emma the cat resting on my leg. She decided is was a good place to sit while I was trying to document my new shoes.

I can't wait to test them out tonight.

Yesterday in cycle class someone sat on the bike that I usually ride... it was weird having to use a different bike... the only real upside was that I got a better view of Mr. Arms while he was working out.

The photo below is to commemorate the video of the bacon which was lost when I reformatted the SD card in my camera... it just wasn't downloading it... I'm sad. Oh well, I'll just have to remember it in my head as opposed to on my blog.

This week is the end of the year.... another new years, another set of resolutions... actually I don't think I had any resolutions last year with the exception of firm thighs. I must say my thighs are firmer (not rock hard - genetics has worked against me...).

Mom is thinking that she might have people over for New Years since her party was canceled... that means I can't go to bed at 10pm... that's alright, we need to socialize more often...

On another note, I need to really start moving on my show for February... I have bits and pieces of ideas of projects which I need to formulate into some sort of a show... I just need the tools to finish what I've started... oh the pressure!

Okay, I'm off like a prom dress!

A good looking dog (that's not mine)...

This is Weezy. She belongs to my friend Diana. She likes to hang out in the gallery every once in a while.

This morning I am going to try something different. I'm going to try to take a shower a bit earlier and then let my hair air dry for a few minutes before I do anything else. It's a new strategy in order to achieve the perfect hair. Okay, semi-perfect hair. At this age I just want to look presentable.

Yesterday I pretty much just slugged around. I did go to the gym (and I smiled at Arms) and then I watched a Hallmark Channel movie... then I watched the Seahawks lose. That was thrilling - not. I did manage to get some birthday shopping done for my nephew Max.

This week is I have the following events to look forward to...

Weight Watchers is starting a new program called Momentum.
Holiday lunch for the office.
Cycling class(es).
Holiday potluck with my ww buddies.
Birthday Party for nephew.
Lip and Brow Waxing.

It looks like it's going to be a full week.

Contact Established.

Yesterday after my cycle class I got off the bike and headed to the aerobics room and he talked to me. Mr. Arms talked to me.

I think he said something like "that's quite the workout" or "you sure got a workout" or "hey, I want to father your children"... okay maybe not that last one... but I managed to force some words out of my mouth.... I think I said "it always is". I should have asked his name but I was dumbstruck...

The only down side is that his voice doesn't quite match what his arms (or body) make me think it should sound like. I was thinking he'd have a more "professional" sounding voice. What does that mean? I don't know.

Oh well, since we've established contact I can now freely talk to him... the fairy tale is over.

On another note - I had a dream with Tim Gunn in it. I had moved into a new apartment and it was really cute... big and really inexpensive. I was experiencing a lot of shoulder tension though... Tim came over to my apartment and did some sort of chiropractic move where he lifted my legs up and put all the pressure on my shoulders until I totally relaxed and fell asleep. He then let himself out and I had a restful nap.

It was a very nice dream - I had a cute apartment, I had Tim Gunn at my service... what more could a girl want?

A date I guess.... but I think they may be overrated.

Good news. Only good news.

Today has started out pretty well. I went to ww and was down 3.4 of the 4.4 I was up last week. I went to the gym and smiled at Mr. Arms. I got new tires for my car while I was having lunch/breakfast with my friend Melinda, then I went and got my emissions test (I passed). All that's left is an opening at Crawl Space tonight.

I just got done advising a friend on a relationship... sometimes I think it's just easier not being in one. Get a dog - they won't break your heart... that is until they die or go missing.

Yeah, I know - just what you wanted to hear today... I'm just telling you like it is.

I guess I should go now and work on my website some more. I might be famous someday and I have to have my website in order when it all goes down...

November 2nd is coming soon and I might be famous in parts of Russia.

Settle down, here I am...

I know, you probably thought I was dead in the middle of the road somewhere, didn't you?

I am here.

Not much to report - with the exception that Mayor McArms wasn't at the gym this morning.

I am thinking about making work about being on a "documentary" television show that was never aired. What do you all think about that? What would this entail??? I don't know just yet... but I think we may find out.

Everyone save the date of November 22nd for the Crawl Space Fundraiser. It's going to be fun! Or at least I think so...

I've started looking at apartments... okay, pick yourselves up off the floor... I know - you thought I wanted to live with my mother forever didn't you? Well, I sort of do, but for the betterment of my social and artistic life I need to get out on my own. Now if only I could afford it. I think the plan is to start saving money so I have a cushion and then take my time to find a place that is perfect.

Maybe in the meantime I will sell some work and/or find a benefactor to help me out.

Soooo..... I guess that's it for now. I took pictures of Sammy and the tree so I will tell the story of my ordeal sometime this week.

Au revoir (or however you spell that...)
Ciao!

It's Mayor McArms to you...

I did not say hi to Mr. Arms today but I did point him out to my friend Marjorie. She called him the Mayor because Mayors know everyone... and Mr. Arms definitely knows everyone.

This morning I weighed in and I was down 1.8 pounds... that's pretty good. I was going to say something negative - but I changed my mind. That's the power of positive thinking.... tonight my nephews are coming over to spend the night. We are going to go to Red Robin for dinner. I am going to use all of my extra points on dinner tonight but that's okay, that's why they're there.

Later today I am moving back into my house. I will try to take photos of the scene of the crime in the cat rescue. I think I have finally recovered. Sammy wanted to go out today but I am never letting him outside ever again... not matter how cute he is I can't risk it.

Right now I am watching Tabitha's Salon Takeover on Bravo. She rocks... being that I used to work in a salon I can relate to what she's aiming at... who wants to go into a grubby salon...

which leads me to my latest pet peeve. I love the cinnamon rolls from Fred Meyer... but the past few times I've gone over to the self serve bakery case there have been fruit flies in it... swarming all over the donuts. If that's not a weight loss deterrent I don't know what is.

Okay, my laundry is done - I should go.

It's all about the arms.

My prayers were answered this morning when I was sitting there in cycle class and who should I spy across the crowded gym??? IT WAS MR. ARMS!!!

I had one of the best classes ever.... my face didn't hurt, I only gained .2 pounds, and Mr. Arms was back. He left before I could say hi but I promise to you all that I will say hi the next time I have the opportunity.

Now I'm off to sit at the gallery for a few hours... then I don't know what I'll do. Possibly go visit my dog.

Things are looking up! Now if I could just figure out how to eliminate PMS....

I'm not going to complain.

I am going to try to not complain about my face anymore. I'm not even sure if it's my jaw or a tooth... maybe I should call the dentist...

The good news today is that the season premiere of the office is on tonight. I'm pretty excited about that. Also Survivor premiers (which poses a conflict)...

I guess an email was sent out about me yesterday at work. It was asking for feedback on how I'm doing in the new position. A few people have told me that they wrote back saying that I was doing a good job. I like being swarmed with accolades. It helps reaffirm my positive self-work-image. If only the other self image would fall in line.

I think Mr. Arms has joined the witness relocation program and left forever... I'm sad. I got the news last night that my cycle instructor is giving up her Wednesday night classes because she's going to school. That's good for her, bad for me. I can still take the class (although it will be with someone else...).

Goals today.

Limit my fun-size candy bar intake.

work without messing anything up.

take a shower.

Find future soul-mate.

jaw/tooth transplant.

Welcome Fall!

It's pouring today... my face hurts... I don't really want to move. Today is the first day of Fall. yay (I'm being facetious right now...). I ended up going to bed at 9:30 - I didn't take any muscle relaxants because I didn't want that goofy - 1/2 second behind feeling. Yesterday I was standing in line at Starbucks and I was trying to get out of the way of someone and I stepped on persons feet who was standing behind me. I had no idea that he was standing there. I was zoning out.

Okay - to prove that I'm still a bit zoned out - I accidentally typed "spring" instead of "fall" in the paragraph above.... when I tried to change it I typed winter before I finally figured it out...

I'm contemplating weather or not to drive in today. Where I'm housesitting there is not a lot of bus service... if I want to get to the gym after work I'd need to drive closer to where I live and catch the bus from there. There's too much to think about.

Mr. Arms was not at the gym this weekend... maybe he's found a new place to go... the arms above belong to someone else... Mr. Arms arms are better. Maybe he'll be there this week...

I'm thinking I may try to take a core class before cycling... it's taught by the instructor who kicked my behind last week in class.

I guess I better get a move on.

Hello Chicago (tomorrow...).

So, I'm headed back to Chicago tomorrow. I think I might pack soon...

my momma has been so fabulous as to help me pay for a hotel room this weekend... I would love to stay with kg but I think this will be better for everyone involved.

Tonight after cycle class I confessed to my friends that I had a thing for Mr. Arms ... I guess they'll probably manage to get the word out to him. there are things that could be worse... like having your skirt tucked up in your underwear.

oh yes! my haircut was a hit. I received many compliments on it - I am a beautiful human being.

maybe I should think about going to bed sometime soon...

Thursday, August 28, 2008

argh!

I am feeling a bit immobile today. I went to the chiropractor yesterday and he gave me some exercises to loosen up my backside - since I've been cycling so much I don't necessarily move side to side that well anymore - therefore I'm a tight-you know what.

Okay, it's been a while since I ranted here... I am going to complain about Bravo TV's website. Last night I went to bed before Shear Genius was over. I wanted to see who won so I just went on to the site... they have the worst site! I can't find any good pictures of the hairstyles and it's almost impossible to find a good recap. They can just bite me.

Maybe I'm just cranky because time is winding down until I go to Chicago.

Work news: For the next two days there are going to only be two of us working who know the phones. Guess what that means? It should be fairly slow - I think people are taking time off because of the long weekend. I can do it all though... I am a superhuman employee.

I suppose I should get up and start moving.

Oh yes, I walked past Mr. Arms last night twice - I could have touched him if I wanted to... but then I might have been arrested.

It's starting...

The mind has started working overtime regarding the show. I woke up at 4-something this morning... I figured I might as well get up.

Realistically I don't think I have to worry too much about the show... my biggest problem is installing and getting all the sitting arranged. I am also waiting to hear about getting someone to deinstall. It's been a while since I've been in a show... I guess I should get used to it. I'm going to be in a few more in the next few months...

I think maybe I should start making a list of things that need to be done and then maybe I can start crossing some things off.

Hmmm... Mr. Arms was at the gym yesterday morning. He sure is a good looking fella... a lot of girls go over and talk to him so I think he probably is either a) really friendly or b) a ladies man... I'm just going to imagine that he's really friendly.

This week we are starting interviews for directors of Crawl Space. I have some reading to do before we meet people tomorrow night. I'm sure you all know how much I love to read... but I guess I just have to do it. Maybe I'll head into work early and work on the reading...

Yesterday afternoon my entire family (minus my dad) came over for dinner... it was a bit stressful... we survived though. I did make the mistake of going to Wallgreen's and picked up some candy and nuts... the people at work are going to be in for a treat when they get all my leftovers. I know I have no self control when it comes to that sort of thing but every time I go to the candy aisle I think "this time will be different" - it's not. Oh well, I guess it's just something I have to get used to.

Here I am, look at me!

I have survived my overnighter with Jackson the dog. He's a little guy with a lot of pep. We spent some quality time on the sofa this morning watching CBS Sunday Morning. I am back home now and Tucker (Stinky) is very happy I'm here. Well, she was happy but now she's just licking herself (I think she's licking her feet)...

I managed to send images for my show to the curator so she can in turn send them to her webmaster. I have to get a move on my "stalker" video... I think I want to include that in the show... what sort of music would a friendly stalker use in their music video... I guess I should just call myself a fan.

Yesterday I was going through a notebook and I found a note I wrote on the second day Ann hugged me (think it said that I didn't want her to think I was a freak even though I was...)... Oh I remember those days fondly. I think that was when my sister told me I should smell her...

Okay, I guess I better head off to the gym. The good looking man (Mr. Arms) wasn't there yesterday... maybe today!
